Wiimote prototypes

These are what could have been. I see some interesting things like an analog stick and a fully circular digital pad. Would any of them have been cooler than what we are actually getting though? (note that the E3 2006 model is the one on the far left -- with speaker) This was the potential nunchuck unit... ...i' m not sure i' d have liked that. It doesn' t look that comfortable!

I actually prefer the one third from the left, with the two buttons beneath the A button. I' d take those over the speaker.

That' s just what I was thinking, Eddie, but they could probably still have the speaker on that version. It wouldn' t have been very confusing to non-gamers, either, just label them X and Y, and have the buttons at the bottom be the plus and minus/start and select/whatever buttons.
