I don' t know, it looks alot better than COD2, but for some reason that background looks pre-rendered the clouds of smoke are too polished and volumetric. Then again, as you stated Lost planet used the same cloud textures (though they were alot heavier)

I don' t think it' s pre-rendered. It' s the smoke and lighting that creates a feeling that it' s pre-rendered.

Yeah it is the smoke that creates the illusion cos iv' e been looking at it and thinking it looks too good to be in game but it looks good.

I actually seen as good smoke in LOST PLANET demo.

Its basically the smoke we see from cod2,but instead of being grey its black and then look much better.

Hmm, if you pretend the smoke isn' t there or if you cover it with something then the picture looks like a normal next-gen in-game screenshot.
