Where do you buy your games?
-
Feb 28, 2003 16:59
I' ve always bought mine at this one specific funcoland/gamespot b/c I liked the people there. I might have to switch over to EB games cause they have had Unreal Championship for $25 for a month now and its still $40 at Gamestop.

Always a (sort of) specialized Dutch shops like Dixons, FutureZone and Free Record Shop. They nearly have everything and the quality is very good. FutreZone had Metroid Prime 3 months before it was released here! I don' t own a GC, but still...

I used to buy games at EB, but they really piss me off, there prices not only sometimes more then other stores. but their prices are 10 - 20 dollers more then their website! now, my local EB used to rock, but they went down the hole, its too bad cuz I really liked them :(

Listen to you whining about " my EB charges this much more than this store" . STOW IT, at least you got an EB. You know what I have? A Wal-Mart and a Sam Goody. On a rare occasion when I get to go to the " big city" I might go to an " EB" or a " Gamestop" , or even the bloody Best Buy (I don' t like going there because I like leaving a lot less).

I get mine from either GAME or GameStation in town - depends on which is cheapest. For all my import stuff I go to CEX or I buy mail order or online.

I get most of my stuff from NCS (ncsx.com), best importers in the world in my opinion! If Game Express (gexpress.com) is having a sale I' ll give them a look to. JapanVideoGames is another place I go to sometimes. Their shipping costs are somewhat high but they tend to have some hard to find games for the current generation consoles. Other places I check out once in a while are Cart-Mart.com and Flashbackinc.com BUYRITE is only for last resorts. When all else fails and there' s no hope left then I give those idiots a shot. They always seem to screw up an order some way, some how. I ordered the Gameboy Advance version of Ultimate Muscle, brand new, and not only did they take a while to process the order they also sent me the cartridge in a bag, attached to a little white box with the words " Ultimate Muscle" written in pink letters with a marker on the corner of the box. No original box came with the game.

I always got my games from Game (once called FutureZone and EB) though I did buy elsewhere if I found a title cheaper. Now I buy all my new games from Game as I work there and get staff discount. For import stuff I use VideoGameImports.com, CEX.co.uk and Raven Games.
