What Wii games will you be getting? - May 27, 2006 22:21
I' m surprised there' s not already a thread about this(and if there is, I couldn' t find it). It' s as simple as the title says, what Wii games are you lot planning on getting?

Well, some of my " must buys" are:

Super Smash Bros Brawl
The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess(as well as the Gamecube version, unless the GC version decides to simply work on the Wii using the controller )
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption(bloody hell, I' ve still gotta complete the first two yet )
Mario Galaxy
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
Dragon Quest
Red Steel
Wii Sports
Super Monkey Ball
WarioWare: Smooth Moves

I' ll pick up from there some other time.

You' re asking for long list. I' ll include titles that are barely announced as well.

Well then, these titles should be great enough to be worth buying:
The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Elebits
Super Mario Galaxy
Dragon Quest Swords
Wii Sports
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Excite Truck
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Sonic Wild Fire
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Fire Emblem
Red Steel
Sadness (haven' t seen anything but the idea seems good)
Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
Resident Evil Wii
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers
Animal Crossing Wii
Disaster: Day of Crisis (I' m really curious about this one)
And of course hundreds of NES, SNES and N64 titles.

I won' t get all of them at their respective release dates though.

The ones I' ll probably buy at release are if they become as good as I expect:
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess (It' s Zelda!!!!)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Best FPP games ever!!!)
Super Mario Galaxy (This actually looks fun unlike Sunshine)
Sonic Wild Fire (OMG! It looks awesome! The game I' m looking forward to the most!)
Excite Truck (Wow! Looks fast and fun)

Oh, btw, I' m getting a Wii Console to!

I can' t get them all at once but I will except for Madden
(last time I played was on Genesis but I just don' t like traditional sports games)
Not sure about animal crossing cause I have never played the first one
or trauma Second Opinion

I wish they would make another Metal Arms and Beyond Good and Evil

Sonic Wild Fire
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Monkey Ball
Excite Truck
Disaster: Day of Crisis
Resident Evil
Project H.A.M.M.E.R.

Those are the only ones I' m interested in. Waiting for more games to be announced. Hopefully a Day of Reckoning 3 Wii eventually makes the list! Imagine slamming another wrestler in the game by performing a slamming motion on the Wii controller, hehe.. Or punching your opponent by jabbing the Wii controller towards the screen!

How could I possibly forget Sonic Wild Fire and Resident Evil?

By the way, what is Project H.A.M.M.E.R. again?

So far, not all that many actually, though I believe that will change.

But for now:

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers
Red Steel
Super Mario Galaxy
The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I have a question Marink, and I' m not trying to be an ass or anything, but why the hell would you buy both the wii version and the cube version of Zelda?? I understand supporting a company and all, or that you love zelda, but that, that I just don' t get.

As for my list:

Mario Galaxy
Zelda
Metroid
My wife will undoubtadly want a mario party game, and I' m sure there' ll be one so that' ll probably get added too.

Man, just look at those top 3 I don' t see how it can' t succeed wildy. Pretty much every gamer over the age of 12 has some love for one of those characters, and to launch with your top 3 franchises is a VERY good idea.

Hmm, what games will i be getting for the Wii? My answer is yes. I' ll be getting all the ones i can get my grubby little paws on. I' d restate all the usuals, mario and that, but it' s just more work. If anything though, i' m most anxious to play Wii sports, and Metroid Corruption. Sigh... why won' t you release a date nintendo??!!

What he said.

I' m looking forwar to;

WarioWare (if you' ve played WW: Twisted, then you know this is gonna ROCK!)
Zelda
Monkeyball
Mario: Galaxy
Excite Truck
Wii: Sports
Red Steel
Metroid

You know, it' s funny, but this time around I' m looking forward to Nintendo' s console, because I didn' t really care for the GameCube. I think that mainly stems from the controller!! Cool!

So that I won' t have to be limited to only one control scheme(if that' s alright with you guys).

Hey man, it' s your cash! I' ll make you a deal, how bout' you buy the cube version, play it yourself, but instead of having to sit through the game twice, buy the wii version, send it to me and I' ll tell you all about the control scheme. I' ll save you time so you can play other games, and you' ll still get to know about both control methods. I can PM you with a mailing adress whenever you like.

Umm, I' ll bear that in mind.

I guess I could just rent the Gamecube version or something...

I can' t believe people likes Red Steel so much. It' s got some good ideas but it seems so unpolished in so many ways so I really can' t put it with Mario Galaxy, Sonic Wild Fire and the other promising titles. With Metroid Prime 3 I don' t think I' ll need Red Steel for quite a while.

Sonic Wild Fire is the Wii Sonic game and it looks fantastic and after reading some hands-on previews it seems it plays fantastic too. You have to watch Kikizo' s Sonic Wild Fire videos!

Sonic wildfire is the game that' s taking sonic back to its roots. If you took the old 2D sidescrollers, and you re-designed them in gorgeous 3D with a fixed camera, you' d get wildfire. It looks almost similar to a racing game in that it' s track based and extremely fast. You hold the Wii controller NES style and tilt it to controll speed and direction. Needless to say, it' s gonna be freakin awesome.

Wildfire is the reason we aren' t getting the PS3 and Xbox 360' s Sonic. The whole thing has been made from scratch in order to implement the console' s control system.
