Kikizo Coverage Begins! - May 18, 2006 02:38
So Kikizo has just started its high def e3 vids, first off is the Mgs trailer, I downloaded the Short tralier [512mb for 15min version?, hefty] but anyways, the quailty is fantastic, and its free. How can you get any better than this?

well...

1).Next time dont zoom out just before the climax for the Trailer!

and Make your Downloads a little more accesable, instead of clicking ' save as' every time and having to stop the media player, just bring us to a left click download without the steaming. I dont stream large files.

But apart from those two. Fantastic!
Change is inevitable. Except from a vending machine.

I got the 512mb one, took me 3 hours, heh.

But it' s pretty cool, the quality is as good as any other version I' ve seen, although theres a quicktime one of the short version I got that was slightly better... You get the extended action sequences and a lot of extra dialogue remeniscent of mgs2! ..but most of the good bits are in the short version. No codec sequences, thank god!

(I agree about the access thing - should be one link to stream for faster connections, and another link to download right on the first page. It' s no big deal though for me.)

Looking forward to the rest. Thanks Kikizo.

Raiden looked cool right up until I noticed he is wearing high heals. He instantly dropped back to bitch status for me.

Yeah, I noticed the high heels too. Considering that the popular concept of ninjas dont run on their heels though, then perhaps it is a non-issue for Raiden. Still... there should not be that huge gap in those shoes. They do look very femininja, er, you know what I mean.

But they' re high heels that double up as being able to carry swords...handy when you desperately need to do a spinning bird kick!

Bishonen, try re-downloading the file cause I downloaded it from the site and the version I have is 14:51 in length (512 mb file), and plays all the way through to the end.

For the record, this is still THE best version of the extended trailer anywhere online, as confirmed by people who are really anal about this sort of thing.

Don' t know what you mean about ' zooming' at the end... this video capture was an exercise in precision (and patience) if you ask me.

The rest of the E3 video blowout is insanely big and should be hitting over the weekend, we' re just rwapping it up now. Plenty of new stuff to look forward to in there.

At the end of the MGS4 trailer the video showed a bunch of screens on the wall, with the MGS4 trailers end running, instead of showing the trailer fullscreen. But IGN did the same thing.

The thing is IGN still had subs in the sequence while Kikizo didn' t. But there are many different trailers here with different quality and everything and I' ve only watched one of them so I don' t know if they' re all the same.

Kikizo gets the best video' s. They take longer but it' s worth it because they encode the things properly!

Thank' s for the heads up Adam!

....alright, my screaming fit is over.....

....the WMV file i have is only 375mb long, and stutters quite badly at times (although when played in Quicktime instead of wmv, the jerking ceases)....

...the quality seems to be around the same level as this short version, but with much superior sound...

...i' m currently downloading it again, but surely an incomplete file would just not play at all, right?....

...so what gives??....

Bishonen, the stuttering is most definetly caused by your computer, as the video has a large bitrate. (Runs just fine on my pc.)

I read somewhere that a Sony director was responsible for zooming out during the last moment of the trailer, at the press conference. This sucked, really... what a failure.

Awesome! I will spend a gigantic amount of bandwidth on this as soon as it is there.

Yeah you' re watching the wrong version... th 512MB version is our best one, the full thing, no zoom out at the end, subtitles, everything. The ' zoomout' you describe that shows multiple screens at the end happens in the short cut of the trailer and yes it' s like that on everyone' s version of it because that is the way the mixed the feed at the conference we take from. I don' t think that was a mistake by the way, I think that was deliberate, it' s principally the same as ' watermarking' it so that the source is known (the conference feed being the source) and they are protective over this footage. Our extended version however has no such thing to worry about.

Yep. See the video FAQ... this video is hi bitrate but more significantly 60fps. A decent PC should be able to handle it... but to make sure we recommend windows media player 10. We have a lower bitrate, 30fps version of our same extended video on the same page - that should hopefully play fine.

Adam, do you really think they delibaretly zoomed out? I mean, it' s arguably the most intense point in this whole trailer, and then we don' t get to see the last subtitle...
If that was to watermark the video footage, then the guy who was responsible for it had a really, really bad idea to do this.

But whatever, we can now watch it in all it' s glory.

...decent pc?.... ...i' ve got a six month old 2GHz Dual processor power-mac G5, with 1.5 gigs of DDR SDRAM and a ATI Radeon 9650 (256MB DDR SDRAM) graphic card!....

.....and surely you jest when you suggest WMV being superior to Quicktime, no?... ...like i said, i only experience the stuttering in WMV... ...they play perfectly in Quicktime, and it' s not even encoded for it!!....

...anyway, my second download attempt of your 512mb trailer is fine, and plays right through to the trailer' s awesome climax... ....kikizo rocks again!

....i especially appreciate the sound quality... ....from all the other versions, there' s no way that i would of placed the female voice actor who narrates Meryl' s character.... (can anyone-else guess what other popular female videogame character she plays?)...

.....question: because there will be ' no place to hide' in MGS4, does it mean that the featured optical camouflage sneaking suit will be available from the games beginning? .....and wtf was kijioma-san thinking when he designed cyber-raiden' s feet??....

I know how to fix the stuttering, right click on your deskboard, press properties then options or installments,i dont know what it says in english, then advance, then choose ahum what can the word in english be," problem search" ? and lower the machine accerlator.

FInally some footage of indiana jones 2007! I wanted to see euphoria in action within an actual game. Looks a little slow but then again its just the start of the new tool. Still looks very fun and entertaining.
