Kojima Productions at work on 360 games
-
May 16, 2006 19:28
Not MGS4 though wich is unfortunate. Kojima says that Metal Gear Solid is " made for the PlayStation" , but he also doesn' t like porting so 360 is obviously getting multiple new IP' s. While his development studio, Kojima Productions, is working on Xbox 360 titles, these will be all-new games that are set outside of Metal Gear http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=55468

And presumably they' ll be 360 exclusives? (since he doesn' t like porting?) I' m really interested to see his ' other' ideas he keeps going on about! Seems PS is losing a lot of exclusivity these days. GTA, Pro Evo, and now Kojima-san. Developers seem to be shunning Sony this generation..

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

And MGS 1 got a re-shape with the name " MGS twin snake" that came to GC. And yes he is a greedy scumbag also ;)

MGS2 ended up on Xbox so Kojima could test the waters and how profitable it would be. It wasn' t really a good kove because the game didn' t sell anywhere near the numbers that the PS2 version did. The Gamecube version wasn' t developed by Kojima Productions, it was outsourced. Kojima has repeatedly said that he doesn' t like porting game between platforms and doesn' t like revisiting games that he' s finished (he wasn' t that happy about doing Substance and Subsistence but there was huge demand for additional content and it was obviously easy money). Kojima didn' t even want to do MGS4, he said he' s tired of the series, but since Sony helped set up his studio he feels obliged to do the one last MGS game. What he wants to do is work on " Wii" , but his team have 360 games in development and are probably going Xbox Live heavy.

This was mentioned last year but basically was a one time statement. I was actually hoping they would show something at this year' s E3 but unfortunately they didn' t. I' m glad it' s at least being mentioned again.

Let us not forget the MGS 1 remake for GameCube, Twin Snakes... oops, QuezcatoL beat me to that one. He will be doing mgs for the rest of his life! Sounds like something out of the flash " Decline of Video Gaming" .
