Wow. I got to this thread 2 years late.
Still, I don' t see any reason in creating another topic on this when it is already here.
So here goes.
I' d LOVE to see a sequel to a little RTS game called Sacrifice for the PC quite a few years back in 2000. Critics loved this game, as did I, but I guess it didn' t find the right audience... Starcraft was the only RTS worth playing I guess.
When this game came out I was blown away; fully 3-D enviroments with dozens of high poly (for the time) creatures on screen, tons of particle effects, blood, land deformation, and the high level magic spells were jaw dropping. The sheer amount of things going on was astounding.
It was even slightly innovative mixing in RTS with a third person person camera that stayed behind your wizard (hero character more or less), so you always felt like you were there in the thick of battle while commanding your hordes of minions.
After talking to countless people though, it seems I' m the only one that has ever heard or played this gaming gem. If I could somehow go back in time and force people to play this, I' m sure we would' ve seen a sequel to it by now. Maybe even a decent fan following.
