Microsoft chose 360 so they didn' t have to call it Xbox 2 and have it look inferior to Playstation 3.

Nintendo in the other hand really had something with Revolution. Can you imagine the marketing possibilities for a console called Revolution or Revolt?!

I would think it is not the revolutions in the above images, although, picturing the new console with a French Revolution backdrop does seem odd... but I would be more compelled to think that the remote is revolution against the traditional control devices, and the traditional control experience, rather than a revolution against the industry. Still, the images make your point that much clearer. Still, the imagery against Wii still turns out to be far more compelling and absurd.
