Horror Flicks? - Apr 20, 2004 02:30
Anyone know of any good horror movies? Not like the horror movies that are more action I' m talking about like crap your pants horror movies that focus pretty solidly on the horror aspect.
Not saying the action horrors aren' t good too. Name off some of those too if you think they are scarry.
Just asking because I haven' t had a good scare from a movie in awhile and I really like horror movies.

The real scray shit is usually in foreign films. I got a shitload of Japanese horror flicks none that i can name off the top of my head tho.

It hard to name any pants wetting horror flicks these days. Todays ppl are becoming so immune to such things, now its more like " jump scares" surprises and stuff like that.

I' ll go thru my library of movies and watch as many as I can in the next night or 2 and come back with a list

Yea most of them go for the quick scare but nothing that lasts.
Plus most " horror" movies are now moreso action movies rather than actual horror.

To be quite honest, horror is my genre. I love it to death (hah!). Even the trash. Why? Because it' s my trash.

But hardly any of this stuff scares me anymore (not to say I don' t enjoy it), and there is such a variety of flicks within the genre that it' s impossible for me to recommend anything without having a gauge for your personal tastes.

Again, it' s hard to recommend anything without knowing what really scares you and what you like. There are variances of horror that frighten people. Are you are more psychological, thriller fan whose library might include Rosemary' s Baby or The Ninth Gate or someone that prefers The Evil Dead and The Thing?

Do you like slashers? Moster flicks? Zombie films? Killer virus movies? Etc.

Well I suppose it would be hard for you to pick something for me.
I like all of the different kinds of horror.
Better to name what you like and then I can check them out
