I was very disappointed with those screenshots. We didn' t get to see much of the game and what was shown didn' t look as good as I was hoping.

lookin' nice while showin' nuttin' - that' s whate these are :) Reiko looks like shit - that poor girl has benn looking worse and worse ever since her debut in RRT4. I wonder if there' ll be some visual upgrade comparing to RR6 or did they just change some shit and labeled it 7.

WOW, holy crap that looks amazing!! Haha, Ok seriously now.. The screens were crap, not impressive at all - I never expected much from this game. Even if it was the best looking racer on earth, still wouldn' t buy it (unless it played like the best - doubt it), but maybe they will show of something good at E3.. CG anyone..?

I have no idea why they moved up to 7 so quickly, 7 would denote it for a higher generation console when it' s clear both the xbox 360 and the ps3 are very similar. Is this an " us too" instance? Now, bring on daytona usa...Now that was a game!

I was surprised a little at how the edges on some of th objects like the tower for instance looks very n64 very rough round the edges but with a sheen to cover I thought they are suppose to excell above the 360??? tssssh yea.

I can tell that this will look alot better than the 360 one, the natural-realtime lightening and the actual constructions of the buildings.

Dude, be quiet. The images gave been drastically re-sized and they' ve been done badly. When there are 720p INGAME images available, THEN we will be in a position to judge them.. For now, we only have high-res promotional images courtesy of Kikizo... All you can fairly do right now is look at INGAME shot of RR6 on 360 and point out what PS3 could possibly do better and what needs changing... I could go find some of the promotional images if RR6 that don' t show gameplays and have been touched up like the RR7 ones and claim that they are nicer or just as nice, ...whatever -- but that' s stupid. Is is fair to compare the buildings in RR7 to the ones in PGR3?! They look nice, -- very nice infact. Look, a real street... ...and look, it' s the PGR3 version... Don' t it look photo realistic with realtime lighting and self-shadowing and not at all like RR7 a game that looks like a N64 game!!!!!!!!

Maybe i spoke too soon. There is a screen for RR7 with a car in it that looks like it' s running on the ingame engine... Ok, but does anybody actually think that this looks far superior to the 360 version?!

Of course it' s not going to look any different. This is an " us too" instance like samurai said. Basically all they' d be doing is using the existing engine and assets and adding a little extra eye candy for Sony' s sake. They can' t code an entirely new engine in a matter of months - they can add little parts on to it but it will be very similar to RR6. RR6 was pretty average anyway so this fails to impress.

they said it before that rr6 will be for PS3 as well so I think Sony wanted them to place 7 to show it' s not a port from bad 360 :) Still they will change some stuff to justify that 7 thing.

I can not tell... yet. I don' t have a 360 in house, so I can not make such a comparison, yet the detail on the background is probably better on PS3. I would not expect it to be otherwise. Still, I reserve full judgement until I see an animated screenshot (yes, a video). Then again, photorealism in an arcadey racer is not exactly mandatory for me. I' d rather have a true cockpit view. For realistic racers, however....

Ok, but does anybody actually think that this looks far superior to the 360 version?! Looks like you' ve been misled majik. That is a screen from RR6 on X360. It' s even on Kikizo' s RR6 page: Check halfway down the page and you' ll see it there. Or you can check it here (notice how the url says ridgeracer6_nov05)

These images are from ign and they got it from namco as RR7 screens , so Namco is trying to fool us or they' re not hiding that it will be RR6 Deluxe (I hope the additions are improvements ov visuals not downgrading them)

I smell porting, then upgrading and building on code from there.
