Check what Pandemic studios had to say about some secret behind closed doors showing:

http://www.revolutionreport.com/articles/read/371

The Legend of Zelda :Twilight Princess

By now everyone knows it' s compatible with Revolution - most gamers also know that it' s going to use Revs technology in some way. Many speculated on how Revmote would be used in it.However in latest interview with Enji Anouma he seems to be talking about Zelda using the part of revolution technology that we still don' t know about.

" When asked if the extra year of production on Twilight Princess had anything to do with support for Revolution' s freestyle controller, Aonuma responded that the game " will be utilising the Revolution hardware, although not in a way many will expect." Nintendo has mentioned that other secrets about Revolution have yet to be revealed, with Aonuma' s comment suggesting that Twilight Princess might utilize one of these mysterious functions."

Could it be the new visual innovation hinted in early speculations? I remember some patents for a new View Perspective optimal for games.

Anyway another story is that some new studios are forming up - for Revolution developement. It seems that devkits pricing is doing it' s job and we may see something like " 4th party" support (completely unknown studios , independent makers) doing for this generation what 3rd party did for PSX.

Here' s one of new projects (painting game) :

http://revolution.ign.com/articles/699/699647p1.aspx

I think this is a joke : http://www.revolutionreport.com/articles/read/373

And what can you expect at E3?

http://www.revolutionreport.com/articles/read/371

Another story is pretty depressing - Rare' s games won' t appear on Revolution in any form (not even Snes ones) - Some titles using Nintendo Franchises like donkey kong are still possible.

It' s friggin SWEET how Japan has gone absolutely Nintendo crazy with the DS.. I remember during one week, the Japanese top ten sales chart was completely OWNED by Nintendo DS games. The only thing from Sony that made the list was 1 PSP game, but all 9 remaining slots read: DS, DS, DS, GBA, DS, DS, etc.

All nintendo need to do is keep and draw that new Girl/Moms/Gay? lol audience (im part of the hardcore audience btw) to the Revolution by releasing:

Rvolution versions of Nintendogs, Brain training, Animal crossing, and the dozens of other Titles Nintnedo/3rd parties have in store ( that ' cooking' for example)..

Then u got Zelda:TP and others for the more Hardcore game fans, Release the Rev and its games at a much cheaper price than its competition and theres a bleeding good chance Revolution could be selling like hot Cakes..

What about the Revoluion Games not being in high Def? will they loose out??

Heres a copy of a few words i wrote on another forum about this:

If nintendo simply make ' Component and VGA' leads readily available supporting 480p.. The market Ninendo are aiming to capture most, wont really notice or be bothered as it still connects to the same inputs as their other HD appliances on their Plasma etc...

what Nintnedo are doing is simple.

1.Keeping prices down..

High price systems and £50 games is simply not mainstream.

2.Making games More natural/simple to play

Not only will this expand possibilities and depth of the way games are played, But more importantly draw Brand new audiences (non-gamers/ Females).. that found the standard games/consoles too confusing and unnatural to play, even i find these two anouloge stick FPS a bleedin pain in the ass, imagine how newcomers think when they try them out..

IE, my mom and my Girl couldn' t stand Games consoles, But now they both play DS and Nintendogs like a religion, simply becuase they can actually ' play it' and Now they both have Tetris.. just imagine what will happen when i show them Revolution Party games that only require the player to point and click a button ..Thats another two Revolutions sold..

Thers a massive market out there that only the Revolution can possibly capture. All they need is too get this thing out for people to actually play them and nintnedo will be off.

Nintnedo know exactly what their doing.

I feel this time next year, Revolution will be Japans market leaders.

In an interview with guys from Segas Arcade division they said it' s very hard to make a lightgun game for HD systems (those guns require interlaced picture) and that most likely all those games will land on Revolution - especially since it doesn' t need peripherials.

Revolutions controller doesn' t work like a lightgun though. Nothing like it infact.

Although no doubt it could be used in that way.

exactly and with much better precision.

but it' s definitely not that secret they keep talking about - that one is connected to hardware abilities/features.

I' ve used gyration inc. stuff for years, and their name is down for the controller, I guess it will have extra axis over their gyromice, but if you want to get a feel for what it will be like, find a gyromouse and hook it up to your pc!

The gyro normally jsut has a usb key which it recieves data from, but I' m assuming there will be some sort of sensors you have to put somewhere to et the other axis to work.

my other question about the controller is why they havent made the cable replaceable. If they used cat5e style cable clips when you over reach with your sword you havent yanked the controller out your hand or strained the wires or worse, plus interchangable leads would mean if your really really lanky you can still play!

Who the fuck cares? Everyone in japan is retarded because they are all perverts who watch hentai (which is good) and put upskirt cameras (not only in japan) and have social problems (like in mexico) and they have too much commercialism (like in US) THE WORST PART IS ALL THE BAD PARTS OF A MODERN SOCIETY ARE IN JAPAN, ALONG WITH THE GOOD PARTS, SUCH AS MONEY, BUSINESS, AND TECHNOLOGY. Mixed results, but everyone there is still a fucking retard. Sony still Pwns Nintendo. (In The States) Actually it' s about equal, DON' T TELL ME THAT.

Come on now kickass331, people buy nintendo stuff because their games are fun to play. Why do you think the psp is doing so poorly? If you look at it' s library there aren' t nearly as many good games as on the ds. Sony' s lucky they put the mp3 playback, umd movies and also the web browser, otherwise it' ve been an even bigger flop. And from what I heard the umd movies aren' t as popular as expected to be. Face it, sony' s losing, if it' s that hard for you to realize then I feel sorry for you, but basicly saying that nintendo beat sony only because they fans are " retard" is also retarded. Now for the rev I' m expecting something good. If they do as good as the ds did then it' s first on my list.

Actually I agree with kickass to a degree (I was gonna say apart from perved but then I remembered my doa4 movies) I think the japanese don' t really care too much about system specifics or about good games no offense but look at the japanese game charts and tell me how much of the stuff thats on top you would play. Nintendo revel' s in japan because it' s a home console and it' s sort of become one of their landmark companies that they need to support (imo). Personally I think even if microsoft was to make the best console that ran everything at light speed, didn' t over heat, had loads of space and all the best developers and nintendo made a console out of coconuts and bits of bark nintendo would still have their attention.
Saying that though I only have my nintendo consoles for playing pokemon and zelda otherwise I never really touch them.

I think Japan is one of the most sane countries in the world.
They can like a game with great gameplay even though it might lack incredible graphics. What scares me are the Europeans and Americans who have to have incredible graphics or tons of action to enjoy a game. That' s sick! The Japanese simply have more imagination.
Hentai has it' s origin in Japan but it' s veeeeeery popular in the states and it' s growing in Europe to. I think most Americans and Europeans appreciate the babes in DoA.
Japan is incredible in that they have managed to keep their ancient values and traditions at the same time as they have grown ultra futuristic. Most other countries can only do one or the other.

Ginjirou is right. So many people get so into the graphics of a game that they forget all about the gameplay. Why have very good graphics and the gameplay sucks? People would just be better off watching a movie in that case. That' s the main reason why I' m picking the rev over the ps3 is because from what it seems with their controller they' re going to have some interesting games. I don' t want to play the same stuff from the gen before but with better graphics. And I know newer gen consoles are more than just about graphics, the power of it also is supposed to affect gameplay, but like with the 360 it doesn' t seem to be doing that, and we' ve yet to see the ps3' s full capabilities, so on ps3' s part I can' t argue on, neither can I with the rev but I' m just going on what is expected for it.

From what I' ve heard, the Revolution controller is not innovative at all. All it is is a gyroscope that sends signals much like a remote to the console. It tells it the angular momentum and never even details anything in the buttons. The buttons are unresponsive and not very well laid out. I would have more confidence in their controller if they wouldn' t sulk in it, and also if the gamecube and nintendo 64 controllers I have been using didn' t suck so much ass compared to NES and SNES...

If you' re still here when E3 comes around, i' m going to re-quote this and make a mockery of you! You, like most others, know VERY little about both the console and the controller.

YOU, i presume are used to playing with a Dual Shock 2 pad and probably think it' s virtually perfect. You, are wrong!

You say...

The buttons are unresponsive and not very well laid out.

...which is ok if you can direct us to where you read it. If you can' t then you' re evidently just making it up like everything else you come out with.

I' m certain you get bullied at school and i for one seriously hope you suffer!

IGN actually have seen it, but they knew all about Revolution and the controller waaay before it was even announced.

No doubt Nintendo are using them for publicity.

Developers have seen the controller, or at least know how it works (fully), and a few others from various corners of the industry know what' s going on.

Most (all) are bound by non-disclosure agreements and so unless Nintendo wish it, you will unlikely hear anything concrete before E3.

Still, ...some know stuff.

Didn' t nintendo already send out kits to developers already? If so then they should have the controller.

they' ve been examining it for quite some time and the final controller edition for newer devkits has been shipping for some time now as well.

The only thing that isn' t final about those devkits is the hardware itself (it' s some variation of GAmeCube kit).

So it seems. I' m surprised I didn' t know that. Maybe I' ve been in a coma...? Amnesia...?
Anyway, I' m very sure the controller will be great because it' s Nintendo after all.
And my hands are as small as japanese hands so it' ll probably fit me perfectly.
