Dreamcast, on xbox live arcade?

At first i wanted to ignore it as a rumor, not to get my hopes up.
But it seems the talk about doing something that in my eyes would pretty much secure the xbox as cool, is getting much louder!
More and more people talking like this is a reality!

I do live in washington state, so going over and asking someone in the xbox branch of microsoft is not out of the question,
But am i setting myself up for heartbreak?

Ok, let' s pretent it' s really happening, you can download and play dreamcast titles (some that have yet to be bettered) for a finger licking $10 a game.
seeing as this is kikizo, and not say...1up.com i assume , if that happened people here would be all over it.
But besides the top 10 or so, what games should be included for sure?

Powerstone? I don' t know. I didn' t really care for that game. Yeah, it was fun for like 10 minutes, but even the multiplayer was boring.

I will go with DOA 2, Soul Caliber, and Soul Reaver.

I think the Shenmue idea is great IF they can secure the rights to Shenmue 3! Wouldn' t that be insane! Download 1 and 2, and then buy part 3. That would prevent them from having to pack those two into the retail package for part 3 (which isn' t exactly a bad thing, but...)

when I heard this rumor I It is possible for this to happen just have a emulator to play them. If you download a dreamcast game it will bring down some memory space they are arranged from 1.00 gb - 2.00 gb. If this happens microsoft will look even better than now. Can someone say shenmue?

Hazukisan Shenmu 3 is rumored to come on 360 so who cares about the first one?

I care, shenmue 3 might not have shenmue 1 in it.

And i want to play it again with graphic enhancments.

It' s highly unlikely they would enhance anything but the resolution. Didn' t Yu say himself that the first two games wouldn' t be reworked?!

I Don' t think the dreamcast originals need to be reworked, they are all I could ask for and i certainly find the graphics incredible to this day

no, i don' t think yu said anything about shenmue at all, apart from the pc mmorpg.

The graphics don' t need to be reword really, the xbox 360 hardware might do that for you, anyone with a high end video card knows what can happen, even with older games, things like anisotropic filtering, or framerate hikes and higher resolutions can make an older game look brand new.

And i wouldnt mind seeing shenmue running locked at 60fps.
It might be possible if this is true.

Shenmue was just walking around and talking to people about sailors.

I hope your joking, shenmue was quite possibly the best game on the planet.

It' s a funny thing Shenmue. Everyone who passed by when I was playing Shenmue, family and friends that is, always said they couldn' t understand what was so fun with Shenmue because all they saw me do was walk around and talk to people who didn' t know anything.
Shenmue is one of those games you simply have to play yourself to appreciate.

The only criticism i can put towards Shenmue was the the following line:

" That day, when the rain turned to snow." I just found it funny that everyone knew exactly what he was talking about! But yeah, it was an awesome game, and I can see why so many people would think it was awful...but when you played it you really did appreciate that it was something really special. But I think that was the case with a few of the better DC games...they appeared pretty normal until you played them. That was the case for me with several games, like Phantasy Star Online, ChuChu Rocket and Virtua Tennis amongst others. But once I started them, I loved them!

ChuChu rocket would make a cool Xbox live game I think - reaaaally cheap and simple, but really addictive, and just the kind of game that takes you by suprise. Some others could be

wooh.. I' m tuckered out, back to Oblivion..

There are two rules to success:

One annoying thing about alot of GTA/Ps2 followers was when I was playing
Shenmue one time in my friendly neighbourhood HMV, and a group of guys
crowded around me and the ill-fated Dreamcast. Which was good because at the
time I really hated the PS2, so I thought what a goodway to show what a smaller
box can do! My playtime was accompanied with OO' s and Ahhh' s and the frequent
WOW. I was glad that they appreciated a transcending game until I heard the
worst thing I could ever hear....

I was a broken man, what kind of linear game did they think that Shenmue was???
I said to them that it isn' t like GTA, and in a puff of cliched smoke they vanished.

But alls well that ends well, I own the game and the sequel so it' s good.
