Looks neat, THough I' m not into RTS, so what is more interesting to me is up until you develop the characters brain to a certain level, though after it still sounds cool.

But the evolution part reminds me a dreamcast launch game about evolution (maybe called 7th cross can' t remember at all), though it wasn' t nearly as cool, and given mine was japanese, i didn' t understand it at all ^_^

u should try to play rts games uumai. Try AoE3 (even though 2 is better, but it' s 2d), try the new empire earth expansion pack or you know what, if you wanna get into a good RTS game, wait for Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends. I' m sure you' ll love it. RTS games are wicked man. this one looks pretty cool too....it' s " different" , something I' ll definitely wanna try.

Warcraft 3 is a great RTS too, and its a good starting game since most non RTS gamers like it as well. The cutscenes are worth it even if you despise RTS. Drool!

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I' ll definitely pick it up. Will wright is a genius! This is a game, much like Sim City and The Sims (which he also created) that will encourage people who don' t normally play video games to play.

I used to play them now and again, C&C (though last time i played it was on red alert), black and white if you wanna include it too, back in the day sim city and populous.
I' m sure this game will be cool and I think i' ll check it out though.

As for Warcraft - I' d say W2 was the best RTS game I' ve ever played and W3 was great but a bit dissapointing.

No way man StarCraft is the best. WC3 is pretty good and so is Age, but StarCraft ist teh pwn.

I didn' t play starcraft too much, so I can' t compare , but I' ve heard that it' s way beyond every other RTS.

This vid has been doing the rounds for a couple of weeks now, spore is one of those rare games that has actually got industry devs excited, I think the sheer scale of this game takes some time to sink in, it looks really different and would probably do well getting more casual gamers into the fray.

...do me a favour dude....

....break into J Allard' s house and repeatedly punch him in the face until he agrees to have this game released on either 360 or ex-box...

...then tell him to stick psp and DS up his @$$....
