PS2 console slimline- Yes/No FAQ - Feb 26, 2006 02:48
If you want to find out the advantages of Sony Playstation' s new slimline console, then read below:

~ PROS ~
1. Integrated Network Adapter (Online Play).

2. Upgraded DVD Support (DVD-R/RW ~ DVD+R/RW support) - (Upgraded DVD Software).

3. Slim Design (Console is more durable and fits in most small places) - (It will be easier to move your console around the house or take it to
a friends house)

4. Flip Top Design (The console works like the PS1, so you have to insert PS2 Games/DVD' s in the top of the console).

~ CONS ~
1. No HDD Support (There is no place to attach a harddrive to the console) - (Sony has substituted that for the slim design).

2. Flip Top Design (You cannot store the console in small vertical places due to this design) - (When console is opened it averages to 4.5in
height)

CONS

-Feels cheap and poorly built compared to the original

-This sort of thing is what IGN and actual gaming sites are for.

IGN, GameSpot.

I meant as in you can find all the comparisons and stuff in articles rather than posting pointless FAQ' s in forums.

DID NOT mean Kikizo is not a gaming site or this isn' t a gaming forum.

Guess I should have been clearer, sorry.

Depends on the version V12 - the first slim one is the biggest crap in the universe
Silver version won' t run some games like Tekken 5

V13 and later have laser protection (that V12 is missing and can just die)

I have it and I think it rox - It doesn' t feel cheap at all ...I mean it doesn' t feel cheaper than it actually is :)

dude, brokawl, you' re getting flamed by most of the current posters on kikizo. just figured i' d drive the point home a little more. but next time, try and post something with a question in it, or a comment that will start civilized conversation. there' re plenty of other sites for faq' s and most of us already are set in our ways as for gaming and don' t really need the assistance. save that kinda stuff for www.freewebs.com/noobgamer. (no i don' t really know if that' s a site)
