Sony' s Online Plan?
-
Feb 02, 2006 05:36
With the flyaway sucess of Xbox live for the original Xbox, and the updated version for the 360, Sony is still remaining suprisingly silent about it' s online plan, but as i see it, they have only two options. -They could stick with the uncentralized program they have now, where online play is controlled by the individual developers, although free, which appeals to many budget gamers, it is up to the individual game developers to regulate online regulations, and server maintanance. -Or, they could move to something akin to the Xbox live formula. where a monthly/bimonthly subscription gets you a centralized online system run through microsoft. although more expensive, the quality of service can be better. Better ideas anyone?

I want free online service...
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I wonder how good will NINTENDO WI FI be considering it' s free. Stats and online stuff for Mario Karts in US almost match those on X LIVE. We shall see I guess.

ORIGINAL: QuezcatoL I want free online service... You get what you pay for! I' d like to see Sony adopt something similar to MS. Hopefully they' ll come out with an online service that' s $29.99 for a year! That would force MS to lower their price, which they could, because Live Arcade is a success now, and they' re making money that way. Competition is good. Both amongst video game developers and us players!
