Halo 3 On Four DVD’s?
-
Dec 20, 2005 07:45
" According to various conversations within the industry, Halo 3 is currently filling up four dual layered 9GB DVDs. Now, obviously this could be they have haven’t went through the compression phase yet, but it is quite interesting that Bungie has that much content to fit into this next-generation title." Hours of pre-rendred cutscenes? include halo1+halo2? Bungie shows they arn' t special good developers when it comes to progamming and compress? Hours of bonus material? Include the halo movie trailer or something? Whatever it can be...38 gb of a game is just bizzare...
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

And you forgot the fact that its just a rumour and it said it would be a very expected Xbox 360 title. 4 DVD' s i dont even recall halo having prerendered CGI in it. I think its just a rumour!

A disc for each level? AWESOME! The entire project size including all resources could probably fill over 32GB. But they don' t include all resources in the final burn. If they put te game itself even on two DVDs (the second disc not being extra BS but the actual game) people would criticize MS for not going with HD-DVD and they do not want that.

yeah, but then again they might be willing to take the criticism for a best-seller like halo, which is gonna gain them popularity and make them money.

Perhaps, but I don' t really see why it couldn' t fit on a single DVD (certainly not FOUR). I guess we' ll wait and see.

seems unlikely to me, part of the continual disinformation going on bout the 360, when im older I' ll write a hard back book of all the corkers I' ve heard so far from kids online! A collectors edition on 2 discs perhaps, but no more. Even if this was the case they' d just double side the discs and keep it at 2, its 100% wrong, but interesting! Especially as no details at all have been released officially.

They would NEVER double-side the discs, that' s stupid! There is NO way it' ll be more than 1 disc. Remember it' s a DUAL layered 9GB DVD. I' m guessing this is either stipid speculation or an industry rumour aimed at Microsoft and it' s lack of ' next gen' DVD medium, with the 360 not supporting HD-DVD. Only games that uitilize reams of FMV or hi-res CGI would need more than 1 Dual Layered 9GB DVD!

Could you please quote your sources for this? Bungie never said anything about making more halo... They never stated anything about any games.

True but we know Halo 3 is in the works. Mr Gates himself said that the PS3 would walk straight into Halo 3!

This place is full of tards! OBVIOUSLY Halo 3 is in development. It doesn' t have to be [crybaby mocking voice] " officially announced" for that to be true. A link should be provided in the first post. Next, who gives a toss what size an uncompr.... oh fuck it, I don' t know why I bother.

Agreed, ....but a game developed so early in the 360' s lifespan shouldn' t require 3 DVD' s. I know it won' t be the case, you know it won' t be the case, but there are other ways to go about mocking your forum users. I' m beginning to see why these forums aren' t very popular!
