About hdtv again...

I found many 32 inch widescreen tv' s that just cost 1600 dollars now,but all are...
1366X768 p it says,so they work with 720 p games on a xbox360?
Is it because the tv is widescreen that its more then 1280' 720?

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

yeah, most work with the 720p, be sure to check as some screens dont have the HD tv plugs in the back, and only run at the resolution with connected to a computer or something like that!

Someone correct me if I' m wrong but I *think* it' s an HDMI socket you are looking for rather than a DVI connection. Like I said, someone correct me if I' m wrong.

HDMI and DVI use the same signal and you can get a converter for them.
You won' t notice a difference from using component though. There isn' t going to be any singnal loss unless its just shitacular cables.

As for the resolution being like that its normal. Most 32 inchers are that resolution.

yes, it will work, you might wanna look at viewsonic 32 inchers though. There is one for only 1100.

' s an oddball resolution and many LCD displays have it. I don' t know why they don' t stay at 1280x720 as that would make 720p MUCH sharper looking. As it is now, everything will have to be scaled to the TV' s native resolution, giving it a slightly softer look than it should have. If it had a 1280x720 resolution instead of that 1366x768 nonsense, Xbox360 games would look noticeably sharper on the set.

HOWEVER there is hope. If the TV had a VGA connector on the back, you can use the 360 VGA adapter and have it run at a native 1366x768! You cannot get that resolution through component video since it is not an HDTV standard of any kind.

The closest resolution to that is 1360x768 on the xbox 360. That is the resolution I use for connecting my PC to my roomates LCD HDTV too. I tried doing a custom resolution of 1366x768 but my computer wouldn' t allow that resolution, it said it was an invalid resolution or something. So we just had to deal with the black six pixel wide column on the right side of the TV. You don' t really notice it after a while anyways.

6 pixels isn' t much. TV manufacturers are bizarre.

High definition and digital television is the most misleading market ever witnessed. Sure there are " standards" in place to help the consumers but they' d be much more effective if manufacturers actually took notice of them. I remember hunting for my HDTV and it was much harder than it should have been.
