Need help on civilization 4 - Nov 08, 2005 05:02
Okay first of all,im new to the serie, and play on the easiest setting, and i cant take over cities, its so damn hard... the comp has like 6 armies in their city, and they beat my army,i usally send archer+swordman,i tried cata but they got owned too.
Can you send many armies at once?
And how should i take cities?
I lose most of the battles, and if i win and heal, they usally have a new army ready, obs this is in their main cities...
I cant take them...

And my city always whine about its to crowded...what should i do?

>_<

Oh btw when i start war,and lose the fights, they like come with horses and take all my undefended city, ofc its not hard to take them.,but if i leave soldiers, then its impossble to take over them :S
Obs i do my attacks often 600ad...
and i play on the easiest settings, what do i do wrong?

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

you can gather armies on a tile, and then select them to move together. so you can rally up a huge force before moving on.

since im at work i cant really say for sure, but i think it when you have a unit selected, at the bottom of the screen you can either move all units, or all units of the same type.

Make sure you get units that are effective at raiding cities before you attack them. Otherwise the enemy will always win as a result of the fortify bonuses and wall bonuses too. Stack up a sizable amount of units before attacking.

Okay, thx for the advice,i managed to take a city today :P and crush an enemy, gonna take a pic later,oh btw i restarted and took new map too,and its going all right :P
Have mace guys now, with longbowman, and gonna build some knights too soon, and mayby war elephants O_O and im leading the score big time too.
And Lodon can produce great units in just 2-8 turns

But i havn' t managed to attack with many forces at same time, but i manged to move them together though, and that made me kick ass O_O
