Hey hey hey, goodbye Jack Thompson

It looks like resident game hater Jack Thompson has jumped before he was pushed. The trial of a man on death row, claiming GTA 3 drove him to murder started last week and Jack' s credibility in the case had been questioned from the get go. The judge of the case was deliberating weather to allow Jack to continue in the case and it was looking doubtful. So before a decision could be made any which way Jack Thompson jumped ship.

Apparently the case may continue, it' s yet to be decided. All in all it' s an inevitable defeat for someone who has put himself first and everyone else second.

Now im not in the US, so what this guy says and does, doesnt mean as much to me as it does over there. But in any case should this guy succeed in his crusade, it would mean the major market for games would dwindle atleast for the fun game types, meaning less games for the whole world.

Lets hope the world swallows him whole!

In the US, thaks to hot Coffee GTA was taken off the shelves, the content taken off the game disk and a mass hysteria about the game whipped up. In the Uk... nothing. It was rated and thats that as far as the BBFC are concerned. Hot Coffee what?

Yep...us americans can be way too uptight sometimes.
