XBOX Live Arcade for the 360 - Oct 22, 2005 16:42
Ok, since I' m an Xbox virgin, and I do have a 360 in the mail, I have a few questions, and the one I can' t really find an answer to is about Xbox live??

What the hell is it? Is it free? How do the games look, are they new versions of old classics? And finally, does anybody know anytihng about this Hexic game taht is coming preloaded on the hard drive?

Xbox Live is extremely overrated. I received it as a gift and found myself rarely using it. And when I did use it, I never had fun. Playing games online is boring. The single player experience is so much better. So I called Microsoft to cancel my Xbox Live account, and of course they asked me why I wanted to cancel. I told them that Xbox Live was completely overrated and I was cancelling and if they didn' t like that they could come and lick my hairy balls. Unfortunately that intrigued the guy I was talking to and he pretended not to like it, but I wouldn' t let him lick my balls. He was disappointed.

That was an excellent description of what can be done with your hairy balls, but any info on Live Arcade, or Hexic?

Live Arcade is, basically, a way to get more casual gamers onto the Xbox. It includes a bunch of very simplistic games, that are either ported from the PC market (such as Super Collapse, and Zuma) or " Classic" games (such as Ms. Pac Man and Galaga). The only one that' s free is Ms. Pac Man. The rest of them cost from $5 to $20, with most of them being either $9.99 or $14.99.

It' s actually not a bad little service. The cool part is that you can demo the games before you buy them. Lord knows I was tempted to purchase a couple of them, though I never did. The graphics? Well... they are what they are! I mean, if you' ve played Galaga, you know how it looks. They haven' t updated them or anything, so...

Here' s a link where you can demo Hexic:

Unfortunately, I have no information to report about my hairy balls. Sorry.

Well, considering I was born and raised in Detroit, I' ve got to represent my home squad. I' ve never been to a hockey game, but I watched the Wings a lot on tv, and I did go to the parades when they won the Stanley Cup.

I ALWAYS support my home teams, regardless of how sh*tty they are (Lions, Tigers), but like to reap the rewards when they do well (Redwings, Pistons).

During football season, at my job they allow us to wear team paraphernalia. I wear my Lions gear every week, dammit! PITY ME, PEOPLE!
