What' s the longest you' ve ever played a game?

Not only did Final Fantasy 7 single handidly make me in to an RPG fan, it was also the first game I had an enormously lengthy session with, that being about 14 hours almost nonstop. Thankfully since then, my gaming habits have gotten " slightly" more healthy. So what' s the longest session you' ve had on a single game?

Probably 8-12 hours with FF7 too.
However now i cant play that much,im 19 now i was like 11 when i got ff7 i think.
I play like max 2-4 hours now at a time,however i had sometimes i played mayby some hours more but i dont know how much

9 Hours Straight on Burnout Revenge. And I still dont have 100% yet.I love that game but its really long.

If my memory serves me well, it was like 24 hours...

The Genesis version of Pirates Gold! was at least one of the titles that I played for such periods of time. I did take short breaks to acquire food or relieve myself.

These days, I am lucky to play for 2-3 hours at a time...and that' s only once a week (twice, if I' m lucky).

I have indeed a lot of time to play games. I like that sh*t.

I' d play for about 10-14 hours on FF 6, 7, X, X-2, and both Star Oceans. As you can see i am a RPG fan.

Morrowind. I probably put in a 16 hour straight shot on that game with a bathroom break and a snack somewhere in there. God... I have like 500 hours into that game. Oh, and I still haven' t beat it.

Probably an entire day spent at my mate son on one of the Smackdow games for the PS2. I remember spending some crazy ammounts of time on Shenmue and some Megadrive games but an entire 12 hours plus... only stopping for breif ammounts of food and liquid.

i played resident evil 4 for 15 hours.i just took bathroombreaks and eating breaks

i once played diablo II for about 2 days straight, then i took a half hour nap and started playing for another day, played straight through my birthday party then slept for a day =b

Myst 5. I' m stuck in there, it' s a long and hard game.

living at my moms house at the time it was phantasy star online on the dreamcast...about 8 hours straight before i had to give up the phone line.

living in my own apartment it was phantasy star online on the xbox...about a day until i realize i was the one paying the electric bill.


in total (multiple sessions of gameplaying), i can recall off the top of my head, Sonic Adventure logging about 120 something hours (i have to double check). I have on record over 500 hours of phantasy star online, about 84 hours on Skies of Arcadia, and lord only knows what i put in on shenmue.

i' ll check the records for my other games. damn, got some memory cards to dig through!

Usually when I get a new RPG i' ll play it all day (with a few restroom and food breaks), so id say anywhere from 10-16 hours. Any other type of game from 4-8 hours.

Gotta say Morrowind. I' ve logged in a couple hundred hours on that game for sure, and I know that I' ve played that game straight for at least 7 or 8 hours at a time.

I played Puyo Puyo 4 with 3 other friends from about 5 pm to 10 am, so about 17 hours. Whenever we closed our eyes we would see puyos after that.

erm.. 3 hours on red alert 2. Yeah i had ff7 and halo, but i just dont like to play them that long ,i dont think its healthy .

Well for me, it was almost 20 hours or some where close to that. Yea i blam it all to counter-strike lan partys. Boy those Bawls high caffine drinks really keep you awake when it comes to hardcore gamming

The First game that I had the longest play with was Final Fantasy 8. When I first saw it I thought it was easy but man was I wrong. It was harder then I had thought it toook me a month to beat it cause I was getting frustrated with it at times so I was taking a break so I wouldn' t break my controller lol. But I have heard that they are bring a final Fantasy out on the xbox 360 and I plan on buying it. I probably won' t be the only one. I am sure it will be harder cause I have noticed games are getting harder and harder as time gos on and hey thats fine with me cause it just makes it more challenging for my and that is one thing I like.

....about 36 hours? maybe longer, foolishly trying to complete FFIIV in one sitting. ...dumb idea, but i just wanted to see how big the game was. I didn' t think it was possible to go that long with out sleep either...

....but then again i am a ninja, so ...

Argghh its been many years since iv been playing long in one sitting, i think it must be quake 2 multiplayer back in the day. Recently i must be World of Warcraft, which i played around 6 hours or so.

I envy those of you who get to play like that today - I can' t get enough time lately , plus the games that are worth my time are much fewer now.I played FF8 and FrontMission for 10-15 hours at least with breaks for you know what.
Suikoden II also 10 h long sessions.

Perfect Dark for N64 , Shenmue- so many hours and so worth it.

Thankfully there are games today that make me play all night - it just doesn' t happen as often as I' d like to :)


On the other hand the longest I' ve played a game is over 5 years - Ferrari F355 Challenge for Dreamcast.I love this game so much that I still play it like any other game on X or GCN or PS2.

FF7,8+ hours and...over 200+ hours.
