Katamari Damacy - Sep 07, 2005 07:31
Ok, rented this game last night after hearing so much about it all the time. First thing ' ll say is weirdest game ever. Not necesarily the gameplay, although that is bizarre enough, I' m talking about the presentation, and story of the game. Wow. If you' ve played Wario Ware for the cube then you have a hint at just how off the wall and utterly bizarre this game is. Other than that, the gameplay is quite addictive. It' s a little slow when you' re just puny at teh start and all you can pick up is thumb tacks, but as you start getting bigger, and can all of a sudden pick up benches, people, fences, cars, it get' s to be real fun.

I played the game over at my friends house once and I swear that the Japanese are so f-ing high on drugs they can' t see straight. It was fun but the game was by far full of the wierdest sh*t I' ve ever seen.

I' m glad it never camed here in europe,or else our minds would be retarded after 5 min playing that crazy big ball game
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

Judging by your skill at the English language, Katamari is not needed in Europe, as everyone would be the same after they played it as before.

My main language is Swedish second german, and third english and fourth spanish.
You see some people here in europe are not strickted by just speaking their own, they doesnt feel satisfied with it as americans does by speaking english even if that might be hard enough for you over there.

So nope.

>> Everyone should speak English.

Why? Most people in England don' t seem to be able to. Innit? :)

KD' s weirdness is the very reason that it should have got a European release, might give people a taste of something different to all the endless licensed, derivative dross they are exposed to, and subsequently alter what they think gaming is all about. Good to mix things up with some tripped out J-craziness. Especially when it' s a good game with it.
