Excellent. Keep Spencer Nilsen far away from any Sonic game!

Did Europe get Toot Toot Sonic Wariror or did they get Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom?

Who is Spencer Nilsen ?

The best U.S. game music composer ever but also one that caused plenty of controversy after changing the entire Japanese redbook audio soundtrack of Sonic CD.

He composed the music of these Sega CD games:

Joe Montana Football
Jurassic Park
Ecco The Dolphin
Ecco: The Tides of Time
Amazing Spiderman
Batman Returns
Sonic CD

Ecco had amazing music! On CD anyway.

He also did Sonic Spinball on cartridge and that was one of the worst sounding cartridge games ever. I' d say he was the best US CD music composer. I think others beat him on the cart scene.

Anyway, yeah. New Sonic will hopefully be cool. No Knuckles stages, please!

A-friggin-MEN!!!!

His level almost ruined the original Sonic Adventure for me, thankfully you could play and complete each character' s quest individually. Unfortunately Yuji changed that in the sequel and the Knuckles and Rogues levels DID in fact completely ruin Sonic Adventure 2 for me. I just couldn' t be bothered to play the game all the way through.

We got Toot Toot Sonic Warrior (at least my copy).

What I would like to know is if Sonic Gems' s Sonic CD in Europe will have the original soundtrack or the US version? Does anyone know?

(man just thinking about Palmtree Panic Zone makes me wanna whistle the music..., but I can' t since I am at work)

CVG shamelessly steals Kikizo story

Friday can' t come quick enough though. Being a massive Sonic fan I can' t wait fo his next proper outing. The Shadow game is looking good but only as filler till the blue one returns to consoles.

What else is new?

I received a free brand new iPod Mini as a bonus from my job last week. It is kind of cool but the combination of itself plus iTunes is not as smart as I had hoped it would be. It can be kind of frustrating.

I hope this new game will concentrate more on Sonic rather than characters I quite frankly couldn' t give a toss about. When I play a Sonic game I expect to play as Sonic and not a stupid crocodile and a big cat who both seem to be Warner Bros rejects looking for new work.

Exactly Auron. Shadow seems to be getting his own game with no need to play through the same levels with various different things in slightly different places, fingers crossed the new Sonic game will revolve around actually playing as Sonic quite a bit.

Turns out that this " new Sonic game" is some sort of new racing game.

Color me unimpressed.

Color me scared to death that this is another Sonic R. That had to be by far the most annoying Sonic game I ever played in my life.

I loved it at the time. The music is a killer though.

From what I gather the new game is going to be called Sonic Riders and involves Sonic characters racing on some sort of board, gaining bonuses for being ' extreme' or getting ' air' I guess.

While news of a new Sonic game is good I hope this isn' t the only new Sonic game we' ll be seeing at the TGS and that Sonic Next makes an appearence.

Wasn' t Sonic X-Treme already slated and then canned for the Saturn? X-Treme Sonic games don' t work. The world will hate it like they hated Sonic Heros. Sonic Team will truly never learn. They haven' t made a good game since the original Sonic Adventure.

The general consensus might be to dislike Sonic Heroes now but there is no doubting the fact it actually sold really well.

I' m hoping Sonic Next might be good as it' s been handled by a few different people after the shuffle at Sega recently. That and the tech demo at E3 filled me with some sort of hope as it looked awesome and there were no pits of doom to fall into, unlike every 3D Sonic game ever.

Sonic Riders on the other hand, I did some searching and found this:

Whaddaya think?

Oh Sonic is definitely too extreme now!!

Actually it looks really fun too. I hope it' s backwards compatible with the 360.

Sonic Riders looks quite fun, I love the almost F-Zero-like look of one of the tracks shown in the screen shots.

As for Sonic X-treme getting canned, that game serves as one of Sega' s darkest hours. Instead of Sega of Japan and Sega of America coming together for the sake of the Saturn they chose to fight like cats and dogs against EACH OTHER while also trying to compete against Sony. So basically we can all thank good ol Yuji Naka for no Sonic X-treme during the Saturn era. My god Yuji, all you had to do is keep your mouth shut and let Sega of America continue to use the NiGHTS engine for the game and all would have been well for Sonic fans back then.

Looks pretty nice and I' m guessing it' s super fast too (after all it is a Sonic game) This Could be a lot of fun as long as it' s executed right. I' m looking forward to both this and Shadow. I just hope I' m not disappointed with them like I have been with some of the more recent efforts.

Wll according to Gamespot we' ve all been saved. Sega have announced Sonic The Hedgehog for 360 and PS3 for release ' sometime' in 2006...

" We are proud to re-create our famous friend, Sonic, for a new generation of gamers on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360," said Naka. " With Sonic the Hedgehog, we have gone back to our starting point, more than 15-years ago, to reinvent the attitude and speed that made our hero a legend. The ' rebirth of Sonic' will offer an unparalleled sense of speed that is only possible using the processing power afforded by the new systems."

Sonic Riders also has some decent screens too... they are the same as in the magazine but bigger and better quality.

Fingers crossed Kikizo will have more on this sometime today.
