Played the Xbox demo and it was a blast (Sept. issue of OXM has it). Definitely looking forward to its release.

This game is looking mighty impressive. I' m a big fan of the MK universe, so my hopes are high for this one.

Sounds like they are taking it in a different direction - one that I like VERY much!

Can' t wait to see and play the final version.

Ugh, you know I could' ve swore that they made a big deal out of the last 2 Mortal Kombats and they bombed in my opinion due to the choppy fighting. I really didn' t see the flow ability that well when it came to switching thru 3 different styles. However, this game looks like it' s taking another path and it may be promising. I will have to play the demo and see now Sharon.

The demo was pretty cool. Don' t know if I' ll be picking up the full version, though. It' s questionable whether it would be a more worthwhile purchase than other games that are out now. It did look a LOT better than the two other " non-fighter" games that they came out with! When they first announced it, I just rolled my eyes, but it impressed me (to a degree, anyway).

I can honestly say I never tried the other MK games; however, this demo has me hooked. The release is Sept. 19th, so I' ll be adding this to my list of next purchases for sure.

I understand what kombatfighter speaks of...

The fighting was nowhere near the quality and fluidity found in DOA or Soul Calibur.

The graphics were up there, but the characters just seem to rigid to be fighters...thus making the experience somewhat lame.

Shaolin Monks, if I understand properly, is going to be an RPG-style game.
