Ever quit a job cuz of a videogame? - Aug 02, 2005 22:51
Hey, I just didn' t have a whole lotta time on my hands you know? I was workin 2 jobs in sales...I quit them both on the same weekend so I could play FFVII. And back in the day I played Everquest. I don' t think I need 2 say N E more about that heh. But I definintly do not regret what I did. I may be broke but I got 2 beat FFVII. Anyone else out there got some funny stories bout quitt' n for the love of the game?

Actually yeah. I worked at a videogame store, and it sucked, so I quit.

Your command of the English language is exemplary.

I haven' t quit any jobs due to games (or dropped out of school like most kids on the internet seemed to have), but I often played video games at home instead of doing homework and studying. I nearly flunked out of high school yet somehow I have become the model citizen that I am today.

You model citizen you...

Anyway, I used to work with my uncle at Retro (sweeping the floors, couldn' t watch them develop ), and after I bought Half-Life 2 and recieved MP2 on the same day, I pretty much had no need to sweep for a while ...

I can' t work there anymore though (My uncle' s not in Austin anymore), so I' m gonna have to get a job at Bestbuy, Blockbuster or Gamespot.

Yet, for some reason, it' s Sony that gets all the credit.
