" Scotty" of Star Trek Passes On

The late James Doohan, best known for his role as spacecraft engineer Scotty on TV sci-fi classic Star Trek, is set to receive an extraterrestrial send-off.
The Canadian actor died from complications of pneumonia and Alzheimer' s disease at his Redmond, Wash., home Wednesday. He was 85.

I heard that he is having some of his ashes sent into space to orbit (or float around) for hundreds of years.
Gene Roddenberry (?) supposedly also sent his ashes into space.
Bless both of these men for the contributions they have made to our society...
