What' s The Last Old-School Game That You' ve Played?
-
Jul 19, 2005 05:50
After playing the new version of Sid Meier' s Pirates!, I began to think about the Sega Genesis version that I played fairly recently. After realizing that I have recently played quite a few old-school games, I decided to create this thread. Some of the most recent old school games (games that are on cartridge; 5 1/4 floppy or cassette tape for PC gamers) that I have played are: 1) Sid Meier' s Pirates (Genesis) 2) Shining In The Darkness (Genesis) 3) StarFlight (Genesis) 4) Super Mario Brothers 1 (SNES) 5) Spider Fighter (Atari 2600) 6) Contra (NES) 7) Gunship (C64) 8) Tarzan (Colecovision) What old-school games have you recently played?

Space Harrier and Dino Crisis(I hate this game so much). Space Harrier has got to be Sega' s second best game ever(Toy Commander being #1).

Lately, I' ve been acquiring all of those compilations (Midway, Capcom, Atari, etc.) for the XBOX and find myself playing all of them as much as any current-gen title. Nothing like a little 1942 or Smash TV to bring a gamer back to the way things should be...
