Are you that KyotoMecca guy acting like some stuck up dude thinking he is all high and mighty? No offense, I just think it' s kinda shameful self promotion. Btw, I' m a good friend of TekunoRobby. We go to the same college right now and are both in the Game Art and Design major. He' s a good guy and his E3 DVD collection is definately kick ass.

I don' t know if that' s Adam or not, but I think it is hilarious how some of the members are talking about " HD" game trailers that are actually 640x480 or 720x576 (not an HD format in any land). One member said Teckuno' s (or whatever the hell it' s called) DVD had lots of great HD trailers. Ummmm... I' d like to know how he' s playing HD content from a standard DVD disc. And the DOA 4 trailer is also not true HD. It' s MD (or medium definition). The lowest res HD format is 1280x720. The end.

EDIT: OK that is Adam, and it doesn' t look like he' s trying to hide it. It didn' t seem too outrageous to me, though. Reading through the thread I must laugh at the guy who thinks Kikizo is for dial-up users. I haven' t seen one Kikizo video that could be deemed " dial-up friendly" . Most vids here are usually between 15 and 30 MB, right?

WOW I haven' t been to Gaming-Age in a super long time, probably close to two years, lol..

By the way, my personal E3 2005 DVD collection BEATS ALL as it only contains Capcom games.... NOTHING from any other companies!!!!1!

Obviously it' s me.

1) This isn' t really shameless promotion at all since the topic was started randomly - um, not by me. And even if it was, who cares?

2) HD does not categorically refer to the resolution dude, HD means anything up from regular SD TV, which in this case progressive 60fps and higher than usual bitrates justifies. IGN and GameSpot and others are all claiming HD and there' s not a clip above 640x480 in sight. Kikizo' s are even better since they go to progressive 60 so technically ours are the most HD of all. Getting 1280x720p media files is another kettle of fish entirely which I am not going into here...

3) " He' s a good guy and his E3 DVD collection is definately kick ass. "
Rick. I didn' t say anything against your pal in that thread. All my points in that thread re: quality and the whole principle of it all, not to mention the validity of making the comparison in the first place, all still stand, naturally. I just don' t see how putting all of IGN and GameSpot' s media onto some DVDs that two GAF users who know your friend received, is even remotely relevant. And frankly it all came across as a bit inside-y and also rude which is why I called those trying to derail the topic from the outset " special wanking club" . It is all light hearted and just what goes down on that forum.

4) " I must laugh at the guy who thinks Kikizo is for dial-up users" - that is not what that guys said, he said that the DVD burning idea is good for dial up users.

Oh I see. His response was directed at the DVD.

If you want to get into HD, then 480p isn' t even HD. I can quote stuff from the ATSC if you like. Maybe for the ' net then it could be considered HD. But true HD does not begin until you arrive at 1280x720. 640x480 at 60fps progressive is known as EDTV. HD is a format---720p, 1080i, and 1080p.

Remember Adam, the ability to perceive 60fps is a rare talent that most consider to be unnnnn-natural. This power cannot be learned. Well.. not.. from.. a Jedi...

Waah! i can' t access the FTP site of the kikizo E3 videos. Somehow these Mac configurations in the office, can' t access FTP sites. There was a ghosted option to enable FTP proxy, it' s ports were the same as the http proxy ports and all the other ports. I enabled it, but it still won' t access the ftp site. Bummer. At home i' m on dialup.

The over-all argument is whether T' s compilation is better than that available from the Kikizo website.

Who cares...T' s compilation is not for sale and is only given to close friends.

Kikizo' s set is available for everyone to purchase, and appears to be of superior resolution and quality!!!

So what' s to think about here?

Kikizo' s set is the only one you can and should get!!!

' Nuff said...

to be honest who really cares? sure you do adam thats cos you spent hours on that, and a good job you did, but who cares if the other guy has an extra dvd with 5 more interviews than yours? that dosent make it better. All we want is the e3 coverage, and you have given us that so there is no need to get into a fight or a ' heated-debate' .
Change is inevitable. Except from a vending machine.

Viva La Revolution! erm, I mean Viva La Wii!
