Wow, this XBox demo was awesome. This is the way Van Helsing should have been.

I' ll bite anyone who touches my XBox - LOL.

The May issue of The Official XBox Magazine contains the following demos:

Doom 3
Darkwatch
Psychonauts
Pariah

all of which are excellent...and of course a hidden demo

from the depths of hell
which I haven' t figured out yet.

If anyone has this demo disc and has a problem (like I did) accessing the Darkwatch demo, change your date setting on your XBOX to March 1, 2005 and the demo will work.

The multiplayer in that game sounds pretty damn cool. Its a game Im still in a lil bit of debate about.

The demo contains 2 areas:

1. Cleanse the cemetery of skeletons while making your way to the backside where you " smell innocent blood" and you' re given a choice of either saving an infected woman or finishing her off, which, depending on your choice, gives you a unique power to help you out with the mini boss and big boss fight. The gun is cool, but the cross bow arrows explode when they hit the baddies -- very cool.

2. The next area you' re riding your " trusty steed" to catch up with a train full of baddies. You need to board the train and kill everything in site (love that shotgun). Make your way to the top of the train and you' ll find a turret machine gun , which you use to take out the multitude of bad guys trying to gain up on you, as well as the ones riding horses

This was an extremely fun, fun demo. Oh, I must mention you have a " vampire jump" skill -- sooo useful.

Sorry, no access to the multiplayer allowed.

That' s interestingly strange. Also, everyone knows about the boiling hot water trick? If you' re having trouble with your cd drive on reading the demo discs..just boil up some hot water and drop it in there for a minute or 2. Let it dry and clean off the water. Then Presto! Instant cd reading!

I finally got this game and it' s a blast! The storyline is great and each level leads into the next smoothly. Nothing like blasting the " undead" to make you feel better. Absolutely worth the $25.00 I paid for it

I thaught so. But all my friends think this game is crap. I saw a lot of trailers, and I liked it a lot.

It was an alright game. I got through about half the game in one sitting. When I died I had no urge to continue. It was fun for the time I played though.

I' ve played the demo and it' s one of the best FPS' s I' ve played in ages! I' m particulary impressed with the enemy design.
