I don' t think they' ll be selling 3 million by the end of the year with a fucking retarded name like Xbox 360. I can see the slogan now:

Xbox 360: We' re right back where we started from!

I think of it more as a responsible method to test the systems censoring. This way, when they become censored we' ll know that things have been fixed. If they don' t we' ll know that there is no censoring.

Hey this isn' t a thread about what' s censored or not, it' s a thread about making fun of the way Microsoft is handling it' s next-gen machine!

The machine is rumored to be extremely white, just like J Allard. It is also supposed to be concave in the center, like J Allard' s head. Gone are the black and white buttons. Gone is the cord. Like Sega when they made the DC controller, they went from black to white and had FEWER buttons than the previous generation. The buttons also seem a bit smaller. We' ll see.

HERE IS MY BRILLIANT IDEA FOR THE CONSOLE NAME.

WAIT FOR IT.

... XBOX 2.

IT' S LIKE THE XBOX, BUT BETTER!

But 2 is less than 3, and the next Playstation will be called Playstation 3. people who play videogames are incredibly stupid, and they will think that something called the Xbox 2 is less powerful than the Playstation 3. That is the honest to God reason for the naming of the Xbox 360. See how stupid it is? You could just drown in the sea of stupidity here.

The best consoles never had a " 2" or any kind of number tacked on the end of them. Sega changed it every time: Sega Master System, Genesis/Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast. If Sega had no personality like Sony and Microsoft, the Dreamcast would have been the Sega Master System 4. Wow. Xenon was a cool name. Too bad Microsoft thinks people are too stupid to accept it.

I thought it was going to be called Zenon or something... That would have been nice. I also like how I think the next gen systems are going to be pure white. It' s a nice change from Black.. I hope Nintendo doesn' t come out with a femenist color.. but I don' t really care.. I would still buy it.

Xenon is the worst name ever. That sounds like some kind of prescription drug for impotence or genital herpes.

I don' t want no damn commercials with J Allard windsurfing over wheat fields and throwing footballs through a tire!

Xenon is the type of bulb used to light movie screens. A xenon bulb is way better than your typical incandecent bulb used to light your wimpy room. And much more powerful when they explode. There was once a guy who was changing out a xenon bulb from a movie theater lamphouse. It exploded. They had to rush him to the hospital and literally peel back his chest skin like a sheet from his ribcage to remove all of the glass shards. And that was only a 2,000 watt bulb. A 4,500 watt bulb can blow your face clean off.

You don' t mess with a Xenon. It will f*ck you up real good. 360 is much more friendly to the kids who play " Tony Hawk" who aren' t manly enough handle explosions or things that are cool.

I love the whole 2 is less than 3, but 360 is more than 3 mentalitly!! It would be super funny if Sony came around and changed there name from the PS3 to something completly different and microsoft was stuck with that stupid name for no good reason. There' s leaked images of the controllers for those of you who haven' t seen them yet over at gamespot. These could be false of course, but they look pretty legit.

What interests me is what looks to be a spinning ball in the middle of the controller ala all the golf games you always see in bars and pubs.

So I want my CONSOLE OF THE FUTURE named after a killer light bulb? I think not. Xbox 360 is lame and confusing. I' d be like, " What the hell, have I missed out on the 358 previous incarnations?" and people would believe they had traveled into the future in a world where controllers are as white as PTA meetings!

Speaking of which, I think it' s been said that those are fake. I dunno, don' t care that much either.

Really? Couldn' t tell...

Those controllers are horrible looking. You know what they say about wearing white? *insert Xbox controller size joke* I' m thinking those pics are fake but they could be real, and I' ve been fooled before. The controlls just a little too Dreamcast-ish, and that is one controller I' ll never think fondly of. The blisters I acquired using that damn joystick...ouch!

Like people who play videogames get laid. Well OK they do. People who play videogames AND watch anime are the ones who don' t get laid.

What would you like the system to be called, Wilco? Please don' t tell me something super-generic like Xbox 2. Xenon is the best that they have come up with so far. Just numbering the successive systems is retarded and shows no creativity.

O really, I say differently. Then again theres always my friends choice of anime DragonBall Z and Yugioh or those other collecting badly made BS animes, he on the other hand will never get laid.

Anyways, I would probably go with NeXtbox as well. Xbox Next...somthing of the sorts. 360 seems a bit odd unless its referring to how you can set the box up like how the PS2 could be set in 2 positions. I dunno nameing somthing that' ll appeal to a mass market can be sucha bitch.

i' m sure he would settle for any of the following names:
- At Least That' s What You Said
- Hell Is Chrome
- Spiders (Kidsmoke)
- Muzzle of Bees
- Hummingbird
- Handshake Drugs
- Wishful Thinking
- Company In My Back
- I' m A Wheel
- Theologians
- Less Than You Think
- The Late Greats
- A Ghost Is Born

(there' s a music joke in there somewhere)

Maybe M$ should name their next-gen console something like:

Whitey - ' Cause it' s white, silly.

Or, maybe...

Heaven - relates the all-white bright color of the console with being good/saintly.

Or, maybe something like...

XBOX Supreme - cause it' s gonna blow the competition away!!!
Videogaming is the contemporary interactive pasttime.

I think Microsoft wants to appeal more to teenage morons who ride skateboards. Therefore I feel that the name of the next console will undoubtedly be:

Xbox Gnarly McTwist

Like I' d tell any of you corporate shills, whom most likely report back to M$ (look, a dollar sign -- I' m a political and economic satirical genius!), my most creative and awesome marketing secrets!

But here' s a tease. Drop the box moniker altogether and think of all the variations Microsoft aka M$ (hilarious every time!) can take with classic shapes! XTREME classic shapes!

I don' t think anyone has ever said that. It is proper to capitalize the " X" . I think people made up " NeXtbox" after " Xbox Next" , which is probably just as bad. Before " Revolution" , people were calling the next Nintendo system the " Gamecube Next" . Where they get this stuff is beyond me.
