First Video game you ever played
-
Mar 18, 2005 09:33
Reading Da' roosh' s post in the games you never finished thread gave me a great idea for a new thread. Think back as far as you can, and what is the first video/computer game you can ever remember playing. For me it was probably games on the commodore vic 20 computer. It' s hard to remember that far back, but I believe the game was called " pinball" I don' t remember it being called that, but after an extensive online search, that' s the only one that comes close. Anyways, it was kind of like araknoid if anyone remmebers that game, and you had to use the infamous ' paddles' as controllers. Ahhhhh the sweet sweet foggy memories. YEEEESSSSSSS!!!! After an extensive search I found the box art! Man the internet is full of useless crap! My first game

I can' t remember. ' Eck, it' ll be something for the ZX-Spectrum. Possibly " Asteroids" or " Space Invaders" . It might have even been a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. The first console game I played on a Sega console was Alex Kid which came built into my master system! No cartridge necessary.

The very first videogame I ever played was probably the arcade version of Pong. I know...I know..." I' m showing my age." Now, my favorite old-old-school videogame would be the arcade version of Lunar Lander. Console gaming didn' t come until a few years later.
Videogaming is the contemporary interactive pasttime.

I find it scary that most kids nowerdays probably have never owned a Megadrive or Snes and in some cases never played a retro 2D game.

Mario is Missing. No action, no plot to speak of, no chance of failure. Absolutely perfect for a 6 year old.

Ugh, you guys are old. Mario Bros. for NES. My dad brought a coworker' s broken NES home one day to fix it for him, and then he " tested" it when he finished. The testing took him 6+ hours. Haha. The next day he went out and bought it, and that' s how we got started to gaming.
