Urgent: For all users based in the U.S. - Feb 21, 2005 07:25
Hi all! Please can you do me a favour? Please post a screenshot of the Kikizo homepage, as it is displayed on your machine? Preferably use IE (as this is not to test browser difference/compatibility but to test an advertising issue to do with IP addresses in America).

Basically I' ll just be looking at what ads appear correctly, particaulry that large " video" one situated next to the DOAU competition thing. Obviously we don' t serve as many of these ads in the States as we do in the UK but this is something we want to check out anyway.

Thanks in advance for your hekp guys!

Thanks Mass. Anyone else, please?

To get a screengrab: hit " Print Screen" (top right of keyboard). Then load up Paint, Photoshop or some similar program. Hit Ctrl+V, to paste the image you took into the program. Then " Save as" a jpeg and if you can control the quality, go for a lower number so that the file does not wind up too large. Then upload your Jpeg file to to www.imageshack.us (or your own hosting area if you have one) and post the URL here.

If you can' t do that then you could just say whether any of the ads are appearing? In Mass' s pictures above, none are appearing.

Unfortunately I' m at work and this computer here sucks, I couldn' t find anything even related to a paint program on here. When one of the other clowns here go on break I' ll utilize some Solid Snake type stealth to see what they got on theirs.

I found some Microsoft Office paint " thingy" on one of the computers but the results seem to suck as the entire page isn' t captured.

Anthony, Terry: Thanks. Interesting...

Joe: Picture does not display, even if you try direct url to jpg?

Mass X: Have you tried accessing the site from other computers / other networks / other ISPs? Any ideas why the ads do not display on machine in each browser? What is your ISP, this may be a clue...?

Thanks, please carry on,
Adam

My internet was down for a bit today. it is up now. When it was down I' m sure that the picture would not load since my computer had no access to Mr. Internet. It should be there now. can everyone else see the picture that is attached to my post above? yes or no?

Still not entirely sure what' s going on. When I view the site from one of my machines in the US via Remote Connection, the ads to not display:

It is not a Flash issue as flash is installed and even displays certain other adverts:

And it can' t be a geo-targeting issue because some of you guys are still getting the ads in the US.

Maybe I need to stop worrying so much......

Nah, Firefox does not display the ads and they are broken links in internet explorer. Not that I mind. I always thought my software setup weeded them out.

The broken link box on the right in IE shows this link under properties URL:

res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm#http://adserver.adtech.de/?adiframe|2.0|338|93028|1|168|target=_blank;
