Wireless Or Cable Accessories? Which Do You Prefer?
-
Jan 18, 2005 13:53
Personally, I have had little-to-no experience with wireless accessories for my XBOX (or any other) console (or PC). Looks like D-Links has come up with some new stuff(mostly PC related) for those who are REALLY into these kinds of things. Maybe I' ll look into wireless controllers...that way my kids won' t trip over the cords.

I' m with you DaRoosh -- wireless controllers are the way to go (nothing worse than the kids ripping out the controller wires while you' re midway through a fight)

I love wireless controllers, I have one for all of my current generation consoles.

I prefer wired. No batteries to change... ever! It would suck having the batteries die or start dying during a crucial moment.

I like wireless simply for the convenience of not having put the controller down so someone can walk buy or have anyone or my cats tripping over the cord.

#1 - When I play videogames, no one would dare walk between me and Mr. TV. My consoles are in the direction of Mr. TV. I am in the direction of the couch. #2 - If an emergency situation has arisen, I have personally trained all humans I know to step over the cord, even though the cords lay flat on the carpet. I have also trained them not to drag the tips of their foot long the carpet as they walk. #3 - If the cat trips over a cord, it would be worth losing the game just to laugh. Otherwise the cat is afraid of me and wouldn' t dare approach.

Wireless. It' s a non issue after playing with a wave bird. I cannot believe Sony and Microsoft have not come out with wireless controllers of wavebird quality yet. The next generation will be sure to change that. Perhaps no force feedback to save battery life, but you won' t believe how LITTLE you miss that. It almost makes the rumble feature seem like a gimick when I go back to playing with a cord controller.
