For all you Sega-Heads

I know quite a few people here are big Sega fans but I just quite randomly wondered if any of you here managed to get your Megadrive/Genesis looking like it should have… Mega CD, 32X and all? I’m not sure about if the Megadrive/Genesis 2 combo is allowed as they look way less cool than the first when coupled together. Remembering back to my childhood when they both came out I wanted them but couldn’t afford them.

Anyway, while cruising around e-bay I also found two very interesting pieces of kit…

Sega Nomad

Sega Multi-Mega

The first I’d heard of but never seen before now. The second is new entirely to me. What do you lot think?

I can' t believe you' ve never heard of the Nomad of the CDX! My friend has a Nomad and it is pretty cool. The CDX (called " Multi-Mega" where you are) is a really cool machine that I' d love to have. I' ve been looking for used ones but never found one at a reasonable price.

Of course I have my genesis looking as it should. Check out this blurry, overexposed photo:

I also have my TurboGrafx-16 (PC Engine) looking as it should:

The Sega Genesis setup I had allowed for a side-connection (right-side, if I remember right) for the Sega CD.

The 32X connected through the cartridge port as expected...

Still, the Genesis is one of the best gaming systems around!!!
Videogaming is the contemporary interactive pasttime.

Joe, thats one pretty impressive set up right there. I' m shopping about on e-bay trying to find a bargain or two. The only games I' m bothered about playing on them are Sonic CD and Knuckles Chaotix. Your setup has an error though Joe, your Megadrive has Genesis scribbled on it with a strange logo...

otaku, you are indeed cool.

The UK " Mega Drive" logo is even much more strange and uglier! The UK version also runs slower (50Hz = suck ass!) The Japanese version had " Mega Drive" in very small type on the lower right of the console, and a gigantic " 16-bit" in the center.

I have both Sonic CD and Knuckles Chaotix. Both great games. I have both the US and Japanese versions of Sonic CD (Japanese has better music... they changed it for the US or no reason whatsoever). I' m not sure which music the UK version has.
