wow, 160 hours. I' ve been looking forward to that game, but i have nowhere near 160 hours to spend on it. What' s the shortest reasonable time to complete the game?

Terry just sucks at games! It took him a year to get past stage 1 in Space Harrier. :)

LOL... Alright the truth is the reason it was such a long completion time was because I left the game on Pause, err well I guess there' s no pause with Metal Gear Solid, I hit the start button and left the game on the Survival Viewer screen for 3-4 days, you' d think that I would have learned my lesson after my GameCube died on me after leaving the original Viewtiful Joe paused for 3 days.. Fortunately my PS2 still worked just fine, thing is built like a bloody tank!!! The stupid timer in Snake Eater just keeps going and going no matter what I guess.

let me get this stright,...you left your ps2 on for 3 days? what where you doing, did you forget about it? but that still onlt goes up to 72 hours 160-72=88, that still leaves leaves 88 hors unaccounted for. I think it was on for much more than 3 days....
Change is inevitable. Except from a vending machine. Viva La Revolution! erm, I mean Viva La Wii!

I think it was on for much more than 3 days.... You' re right, lol, immediately after I posted my completion time I quickly did the math and realized that a bunch of other hours were still unaccounted for, it was probably left on for a little longer but just felt like 3-4 days to me.. Actually I can say for sure that it was left unattended for the 3-4 days, the other days I played the game for a bit and then would leave it and come back to it later. I remember when one of my save times was at the 15 hour mark, I came back to the game later that day and saved again before pressing on and the save time was at the 24 hour mark. Everytime I stepped back and returned to the game there was a big jump in the save time. They really need a traditional pause feature for these games! Anyways Work, sleep and the looong commute that happens in-between. It' s an annoying 4 hour commute to and from work every day, have to leave home very early and return late so I' m usually beat... but no I never forgot the game was still on, lol..

4 hours... one way? I hope not. Try taking the train instead of the bus. I took a train from somwhere in Delaware to Manhatten and it took maybe 2 hours at the very most. But I think it was less. With a bus they have to stop at the lights and someone always wants to get on or off at each stop, which is at every block! Plus you always have to sit next to a whino or the bus gets held up by some whacko. Also, I didn' t think that you slept. I wonder if the PS2 was spinning the disc the whole time? It could have just spun it down. Your Gamecube probably did not.

Also, I didn' t think that you slept. I wonder if the PS2 was spinning the disc the whole time? It could have just spun it down. Your Gamecube probably did not. I sleep once in a while which is probably why I' m so tired a lot of other times, LOL..

I just rented the game. So far I' m loving the story and cinematics, but the game itself is just pissing me off. Metal Gear Solid' s controls are NOT made for large outdoor enviroments. Sorry Snake, but you simply aren' t Sam Fisher. I' ve been getting overly frustrated with how difficult it is to hide and find save spots now where the enemy doesn' t see me. Even with the camo it tends to be a pain. Then I found out when crawling in grass it automatically switches to 1st person. I can' t see sh*t like that! Just because Splinter Cell:PT had jungle enviroments doesn' t mean MGS had to have them too. I really wish they would have rethought that. I seriously just don' t like the feel of the controls in this type of envirmoent. It' s probably just me but it really irratates me. I' m still pretty early on so I hope I make it into some indoor portions soon. I just got to the point where I got the croc cap. Hopefully I can get better adjusted to this game ASAP. Right now it just seems to hard.
