To those of you who have played the original KOTOR...

Okay, I was very close to beating the original KOTOR last year when I sort of screwed myself over by not leaving my other characters enough weapons, etc, etc. To make a long story short I never actually got to finish the game. However, I did find out a lot of info about the ending through a friend who beat the game. Well, i just finished playing through the sequel (my lesson learned) and someone said that in the original Revan was a female.

Correct me if I' m wrong but I thought that Revan was whatever your character was to begin with...that the player was actually Revan???


























I hope someone can clear this up. On a side note, KOTOR 2 was a pretty good game but it left a lot of questions unanswered. The good news is that unless Lucas Arts are assholes, there will be another one. KOTOR 2 ends like many good trilogies end...on the brink of a huge war for all things. Having said that, the ending cinema is the absolute worst I have ever had to sit through. It' s a total of 30 seconds, and that is not me making something up. Also, BEWARE of glitches in this game. I actually had my screen go completely black during a boss fight...albeit that is probably the worst one but there are quite a few very annoying ones in the game.

I only made it half way thru KOTOR, so unfortunately i can exactly nail that down for you....but i am pleased to hear that KOTOR2 was fun. im lookin forward to it, but do I need to finish 1 to enjoy 2 thoroughly.....?

Well...there is definately a lot of information about the original in this game. The back story for this game is what happened to Revan, and it is one you eventually figure out towards the end of the game. I made it far enough in the original that not much was lost on me, just a few things. There are a few cameos as well by major characters from the first. I won' t name them but you will know who they are when you see them.

So you think im okay to move on to KOTOR 2 without kickin my own arse for not finishing up? What are some of the perks to the new one? anything come off as extra cool?

I' ve a question... how does number two pick up on the events of the last game?

In mine Bastila turned to the dark side and unable to convert her to the light I had to kill her. Then I went on to save the world.

now i know i shouldnt have, but i read those.....is not knowing that stuff going to set me back in KOTOR 2 or can i get away with not knowing...

sorry to be so crazy about this stuff, but its important to know before buying the game, ya kno?

This game focuses on a Jedi who has been exiled. The Sith have been hunting the remaining Jedi after the Jedi Civil War (Jedi vs Sith). The exiled Jedi is discovered and believed to be the last Jedi. The story follows the exile' s search for the last remaining Jedi across the galaxy. Some of the worlds you visit are the same from the original, just a little more war torn so to speak. That' s the jist of it, with no real spoilers.

I haven' t finished KOTOR; however, I' ve rented KOTOR 2 and enjoyed it much more than the first . I will probably purchase it in the very near future (right now Morrowind has front and center).

revan is whoever u play as. my ending was good i converted bastila from dark to light. and destroyed malak.

i just completed it again and joined bastila on the dark side and forced zallbar to kill mission
