Sophia Stewart - Matrix theft case - Dec 06, 2004 22:36
A story thats hasnt surfaced as much as youd think it would. Sopiha Stewart has been in a copyright infringement case since 1999 with Warner Bros., Wachowski Bros., and Joel Silver over the fact that she wrote the orgional manuscript for Matrix 1-3 along with Terminator 2.

Prior to making the movie the 2 bros. put an ad up for ideas and whatnot one that was submitted was from Sophia Stewart. Much of it was supposadly used for the Matrix movies. After several years Sophia had finally won the case and will be receiving one of the biggest payoffs in hollywood history, with the films making a gross of $2.5 billion.

One reason quoted from Stewart for why this hasnt been presented to the public as much is simply because of who owns a good portion of the news which is Time Warner.

Meh I still liked the movies I guess its cool that the rightful owner got her pay.
