Microsoft announced today that Halo 2 has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide since its launch on November 9. With cumulative sales from Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo for Windows, the Halo franchise has exceeded the 11 million unit mark.

...and someone in these forums was saying that they thought that Halo 2 wouldn' t sell more than 5 million total copies.

Guess they under-estimated it' s success.

Halo 2 is already at 5 million...it can not go down from here!

I figure that Halo 2 will sell over 8 million...I just don' t know when that will happen. I' m sure it will be soon...

Maybe By end of the year.

Its possible that HALO 2 will sell 3 million copies on christmas.

I doubt it will even hit 6 mill before christmas. My guess, atleast

I am surprised that it has sold 5 mill already tho. I guess the word got out on the game

Dunno if that was sarcasm or not but none the less how many places could you goto and not catch a whiff of the game? TV, Posters, Theatres...7-11s?! The Chief was everywhere.

$50x5million= $250,000,000+/- not bad for 21 days eh?
