CSS is frying my brain

I' m trying to change the settings of a message board I' m working on to go with a fan-site. But I need to know CSS to do anything to it. After a bit of experementing I' ve almost given up because it' s way too complicated for it' s own good. You can' t really see what you are changing and you cant change things easily.

If anyone knows what I' m talking about and can give me a hand I' d be very *very* thankful and this person would be on my christmas card list for sure.

dude can' t help you with the understanding if that' s wat you' re lookin for ........but i can give some advise though................like i' ve learnt with learning programming atleast............don' t try to understand it but learn to conceptualise it in the sense that relate it to something less complex so you can understand it better...............
