Tekken no longer exclusive - Xbox/Gamecube - Nov 17, 2004 13:33

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that Namco’s Tekken 5 will be released across all platforms. This will mark the debut of the Tekken franchise on both Xbox and Nintendo Gamecube.

No further details about the different editions of the game or release dates were mentioned on the article but we' ll bring you more information on Tekken 5 as soon as it becomes available.

FINALLY some good news on that front. While I' m no fan of the series at all I was always tired of it remaining exclusive to Sony.. I wonder if Namco will do with Tekken 5 what they did with Soul Calibur 2 by including an exclusive character in each version..

I wonder if Link will appear in the game or maybe throw Mario and/or Luigi in there with an unshaven look and tattoos on their arms.

Apparently this isn' t actually true. It' s just PS2.

I never really liked a lot of console fighting games, so this doesn' t affect me much. I' m probably going to try out Mortal Kombat and Marvel vs Capcom on my Xbox before I even take a look at Tekken 5.
Games I want: Starcraft: Ghost (went to gamestop and saw it on the shelf labeled " coming soon, reserve your copy today"

Oh well...I' ve got a PS2 so I don' t have to worry about that kind of stuff. As long as they take Tekken 5 back to the gameplay of Tekken 3 I' ll be fine.
