-
Nov 02, 2004 22:46
Team Xbox Climax Group announced today its next generation game - Avalon, a multi-vehicle shooter with a unique and original twist. Major publishers will soon discover Avalon' s uniqueness as Climax presents its fully playable prototype to a select group of eagerly awaiting executives throughout the U.S. Taking advantage of the next generation consoles' advanced multiplayer capabilities, Avalon is a game, truly epic in scale that will allow gamers to come together online for spectacular showdowns. Set in the near future, this stunningly original title is a fast-paced, action-charged game that challenges players to battle for world domination. At its heart lies a compelling mixture of intense shooting and high-speed driving action, all of which is wrapped up in some of the most stunning graphics ever! " Climax' s ability to self-fund the prototype has produced huge strides in development which has allowed Avalon to be fully playable before the game is even presented to publishers" , states Tony Beckwith, president, Climax. Avalon is being designed and developed by some of the brightest minds in the industry, who are focussed on delivering a next generation game for next generation hardware. In just the first few months of development, the Climax team has clearly proven its success with the impressive results shown thus far. Enhancing the superior technology of the next generation consoles and the power of the engine, this impressive new game is supported by the company' s innovative toolset named, " Tomcat" . Tomcat and its associated renderer technology are truly next gen. Built from a stable platform that has been proven in several games, Climax has invested heavily in proprietary next generation tools to produce content quickly and with excellent quality.

That' s cool, I love those types of games. I just hope Sony makes another Twisted Metal game with the new generation of consoles. That was one highly addictive game back in the day, and still is, lol.
