Not really a remake. It's the Saturn version (slightly upgraded) with a shitty (really shitty) filter applied on top (which can be turned off). It has also been modified for 16:9 screens. I never really understood the appeal behind this game. It's alright, not horrible. But it's ugly and it's still ugly even on XBLA. I own the Saturn version.

That filter is so fucking lazy, that's the exact same thing that free emulators do to old 2D games.

Fun game but talk about a pixelated mess. Well, Street Fighter 3 was WAY more pixelated by comparison, to the point of the characters looking a bit ugly.
