I did like PGR3 a lot. I just didn't have as much fun with it as I did PGR2, and then with PGR4 I got the feeling back.

The aliasing in PGR3 hurt my eyes. PGR4 is sublime.

I played PGR3 to death, especially online (got into some of the tournament finals) so I didn't really fancy doing it all again in PGR4 and didn't think the graphics lived up to the hype - so unlocked a few cars, traded it in.

I dunno... the graphics impressed me, especially the weather effects. It wasn't the massive leap in ters of content that i expected but i think they came through as far as the visuals are concerned. I guess GRID impressed me more though, and Midnight Club LA blew my socks off.

Blur should be interesting.

GRID was amazing in many ways, I just like PGR gameplay more. I have GRID on PC and play it using a wireless 360 controller, my HDTV rendered in true 1080p resolution, and 5.1 surround sound system with a sound blaster X-fi. It's pretty amazing.

Me either. There are games i remember fondly and which amazed me at the time... but gaming has moved on so fucking far.

Its wierd like that.  Even though I think some old games are still superior in many respects to many many new games - its not as if I go back regularly and play them, or even buy them again from second hand stores or online marketplaces like LIVE arcade.

Even though gaming has come a long way in the past decade, I think in most cases its gone in completely the wrong direction to my tastes.  Short, shallow, flashy games with quicktime events and character/story cliches are not my thing.
