Fumito Ueda's next game just went leak-tastic: http://www.vg247.com/2009/05/20/rumour-first-trico-video-leaked/ In some ways I'm disappointed. It looks rather similar in premise and ambience to the first two games, and the griffin thing is a bit too cutesy pooh. Superb animation though, and some of the gameplay possibles - battles with humans while mounted on the thing, underwater exploration, perhaps even a full-on life cycle, with you and it growing old together - give me a raw throbbing stiffie.

Bionic Commando's at least 50% Swedish, so there. PS. I've just realised this isn't the Bionic Commando thread, but I'm going to leave this comment as is because I KNOW you weren't talking about any of Team Ico's games, dan. That would be silly.

You're disappointed? I'm playing SotC just now with about 3 to go, as I missed it on PS2. The ambience is really what makes the game and I would be disappointed in Team Ico had they lost that. I think this looks stunning - as you say there is great potential for a lot of variety. To be honest the only thing I can't stomach about SotC is how bad the graphics look on an HDTV so I'm looking forward to this a lot. Now with online deathmatch? :P

Small lost boy with mystical companion + climbing on monsters = small lost boy with mystical, climbable monster companion = license to print Metacritic average."

jenelia Hello there, i really enjoy to post my comment here. It's a great site. Welcome to the site. You should probably post more of your opinions on these threads than just "I agree" though. What are your fave games and what do you play them on?

This forehead, sir, is to the female sex what the prow of the good ship Santa Maria was to North America. What don't you like about ICO's design, dan? It's a pretty traditional action-adventure in many ways - go here, solve this puzzle to unlock this door, solve that puzzle to unlock another area, etc.

Edwin What don't you like about ICO's design, dan? It's a pretty traditional action-adventure in many ways - go here, solve this puzzle to unlock this door, solve that puzzle to unlock another area, etc. Outdated game design, annoying Japanese story, and characters that may or may not have came from the fantasy of a homosexual. Just like almost every other Japanese game. I really cant stand the shitty stories, which is one of the reasons I find most Anime impossible to stand.

There's nothing particularly homosexual about ICO, not that it would matter if there was. And I think the story is one of the greatest this breed of entertainment has ever seen - symmetrical, stylised, entirely devoid of laborious exposition.

There's nothing wrong with my computer, except for this oddity it has with the Kikizo forums. I know that's you in the picture, i've read the topic, and it was implied in my response. I like games that break new ground, and games that just show great qualities all around. Be it from the 90's or current days. And your response is pretty much what i expected from you. I can hear Uncle Sam's tears of pride and joy flowing right now! EDIT: how the hell does IE work better than Firefox here?!? My PC MUST be broken...

Ico wasn't for everybody, and it wasn't a game that was built with westerners in mind... but it wasn't a bad game. It was a little too artsy for my liking... and way too slow going though. SOTC on the otherhand was fucking epic, and Trico looks good. I like the idea of the ratbird thing... it looks cute.

Nitro SOTC on the otherhand was fucking epic I'll more than gladly concede on that, SOTC was possibly the most breathtaking PS2 title made.
