Heh, I suppose porn is one of the biggest industries - of course its not in any danger yet since people having to stretch their budgets have ditched their cars before their porn.
It's time for congress to rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America.
Thats the last thing they need to do!
These bailouts are just another way of getting the people to pay for stuff they didn't want to pay for before. Did the american car industry need a bailout because people couldn't afford a car, or because people didn't see the need to buy another one, or just weren't interested in what was on offer. If GM, Chrysler and Ford had gotten their $14 billion, it would've theoretically meant US citizens had just bought themselves about 7 million Jeep Cherokee's. Necessary?
We certainly live in interesting times when cars and porn try to come above health education and welfare. Not that I'm any less of a fan of fast cars and women.
You probably don't know him very well so I don't blame you for missing the point. He doesn't think he deserves a handout, he doesn't even need a handout. He's demonstrating how stupid the handouts are. It's satire. The brilliance is when he actually stands in front of congress and
makes his case. He's very critical of his government and he's a pretty funny guy to boot. Part of the joke is that during a recession porn sales actually go up, he's bragging to the assholes who have always tried to belittle his industry. Flint is better at managing a budget than the American government. You should watch "The People Vs Larry Flint". Everyone said that porn is not a legitimate industry, the irony is that it's one of our most stable industries. When it seems like everyone's chips are down the porn industry becomes even
more profitable.
Think about how beautiful this is. American tax payers are bailing out corrupt and inept CEO's that Americans place on a pedestal, while the porn mogul is running a very profitable business during a recession.
