Has anyone else played this gem? im currently on chapter 10, its a great game, a must buy. Great characters and the story line is intresting, the turn based combat is fun, and you think about your moves. it has alot of game time in it.. 20+ i reckon

well its turnbased combat. You get an amount of action points, it takes one or two points to move a unit. When you select a unit to move you go down in a 3rd person window, ýou can then move about for a set amount of distance, and take one shot. You can use the same unit several times each turn but it cant move as far as the first time.

It's a strategy game, much too complex for dan to understand, do not bother.

If you wanted me to get into more JRPG that game certainly is the way to do it. Tho I still don't like them all that much, but Valkery Chronicles was pretty cool. In a way it reminded me of Worms.

Considering I wouldn't do it, I'd have to be forced to, so you would rape another guy, like the dude from Pulp Fiction.

How would people rate this alongside Lost Odyssey? I'm going to set aside some time for a JRPG in a month or two, and one of these beauties could be the ticket...

This one isnt really a JRPG, the rpg elements are lighter than jrpg, which are generally not very rpg'ish by western standards. Its more like X-Com light with some characters you get to know ( even though they are sweet as sugar, i nearly died from sugar rush today and put on CoD5 to see some blood). Id get Valkyria Chronicles though :) I havent played LO

I would really have liked to play this game, but as they in their wisdom made it a ps3 exclusive I can't.

Only talking about that now? I finished that game the first week of november. It's a great game but will sadly be over looked by most. Release date wasn't the most favorable with the holiday season coming up and all that. Nice story, good visuals although it's certainly not pushing the ps3, the art direction is amazing. The gameplay is great, I'd really recommend forming your party well since it can make combat a whole lot easier. And at times you really need to think a step or two ahead to outmaneuver the enemy and getting you in an ideal position to start picking them off. Also after finishing the game you can do the skirmishes in hard mode which isn't a mind blowing feature but it does give you a reason to come back and kick some Empire ass. The character development is great as well. Every character gets his fair share of attention. Although the main characters get the focus ofcourse throughout the whole story. But the rest gets a background in the personell tab and it's there if you want to read it. And speaking of characters Sega gives us a bit of Skies of Arcadia love by putting in Vyse, Aika and Fina as the medic. Well I guess it's fan service but I'm hoping they're teasing us for a new Skies. As I said at the start it's simply a great game. It's fun, has a good story, it ain't a 8-10 hour game and it does everything that it sets out to do well. Everyone who owns a PS3 should really have a copy of this game.

LO is a good game . Good graphics , decent storyline but standard jrpg fare . You will easily get 20+ hours from it ..

I think I'd probably like VC more, but LO will be cheaper :p Will probably end up playing both in the long run.
