Internet Slowness
-
Oct 01, 2004 23:21
For some strange reason I' m having a few troubles with my internet. Most sites appear fine but when I try to view my mail on Hotmail or come here to Kikizo things move very slowly. Sometimes the page even refuses to load after a while but sometimes lodes minus icons or with text in a different font. There are a few more places I' ve had problems with but this place is the main one.

I have been experiencing the exact same problems, from those two websites, for over a week now... Anyone got an idea what' s going on?

I do' nt offer you a solution. I bring more problem... I thought I was the only one. When I try to load Kikizo, the site sometimes refuses to load, other times it loads but a few seconds later it changes font and size, even the smiley faces get bigger. There are times when I tried to post and it wouldn' t post. So, it' s not just me...glad to know that

Haha, for a second there I thought it was only my PC that was beign crap. It looks like there' s being a few problems with both sites. Today Hotmail is workign fine again but this message board is generating a heap of those errors you mentioned Alley_Hater. So much so that I can' t even reply to a message after trying about 4 times. Hopefully the powers that be will fix this up sharp-ish.

I' ve been trying to post for days now and the majority of them won' t go through. I sent an email to Adam Doree a couple of days ago about this as well (haven' t heard back yet). Obviously there is a problem and hopefully everything will be up and running smoothly again soon.

Now that was funny. I was about to post that I haven' t had any problems and then one of those damn errors popped up in the posting window. Well it' s only happened once to me so far...

Seems Kikizo has had a few technical problems server-side as well as with our own equipment. This is a test post to see how the forums are behaving... Anyone noticing any improvememts on load times on the main page or the forum performance the last couple of days then? I have no idea what is going on but then I have been in Japan for a week with a broken laptop and now returned home with masses of backlogged shit to deal with.

I to am having problems. Problems then end up with me just not going to the forum section for awhile. Im gonna be lucky if even this posts, however one new post will be a significant improvement thus far. But I can be patient and wont run off from Kikizo. It just sucks for ne new ppl tho. Just fiddled with the server. Any improvement noticable? I have so much to get through in terms of media and video content right now, all going up this week. Once that' s all out of the way we can get this mystery problem sorted. Hopefully. And then maybe even choose some winners for the last three months!!

No, actually Kikizo' s servers are in a state of the art facility in Spokane, nr Seattle, Washington. To even think about this kind of connectivity and maintenance " DIY" is stomach-churning... having said that our primary video server is currently in the UK.

Hehe, nice. The forums are back to their old self again, maybe even better than before. It really was bad last week though, impossible to post anything, I just stopped showing up. But with things running like clockwork normal posting service has been resumed.

I am still experiencing a erratic ' forced logout' , but it' s not everytime. It usually happens when I try to add a new post or reply.
