Wow, there are a whole LOT of stupid casual gamers out there. Halo #1? On what planet? It ranks about 1,572 on my list of great gaming achievements. Halo may have helped to redefine FPS' s on consoles, but it didn' t do anything the PC hadn' t already done. Pong is way down there. And where' s Hero' s Quest? Idiots.

Whoa! Are you saying they ranked Pong way below Halo????????????? Yikes, must be a bunch of newfound casual gamers with no sense of gaming history. Pong was one of the most influential games on the planet. I' m no fan of Halo and don' t think it' s a bad game but What the hell did it really influence??? The original Super Mario Bros. was more influential, also the Pac-man games, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Street Fighter 2.

The list was kinda limited on choices...two chances to pick Halo-related choices? What' s with that? Sid Meier' s Pirates was one of the first games that had pretty much unlimited play and RE-play value...what are people thinking? Another game that I thought should have been added was Star Flight, since it offered travel through space, profiteering, multiple alien races, and hidden artifacts that the player had to find by speaking to the different alien races. Awesome game, baby!!! Both of these games made major improvements over prior game development and play/replay value, and only Sid Meier' s Pirates was listed... And there were many others that should have been listed, but they were over-looked as well.
Videogaming is the contemporary interactive pasttime.

And not one even understands that Halo did absolutely nothing new. Nothing. But I guess that doesn' t matter. And of course, I agree entirely. Pong is probably one of the most five influential games on the planet, and SMB as well. Galaga was basically a refined upgrade of Galaxian (right?), but Donkey Kong is a definite. This just proves it, Terry. Casual gamers really are that stupid.

Halo may have not done anything revolutinary but it did manage to take all the good aspects of tother games and put them together perfectly and seamlessly. When a huge amount of people are still playing the game they got when the system first came out religiously today, that tells you something. the game is definately amazing.
