Acclaim UK is back from the grave, with new name, but familiar titles.

UK trade magazine MCV has received information that former Acclaim CEO Rod Cousens, and LA-based Europlay Capital Advisers LLC, have been busy the past few weeks, ever since the unfortunate news of Acclaim' s sudden demise.

Under the management of Cousens and Acclaim' s former head of publishing Barry Jafrato, the UK development studios in Cheltenham and Manchester will be resurrected under a new name. So far four titles have already been signed (Interview With A Made Man and Heist, for example), certain back-catalogue and IP, and some Acclaim U.S. titles are also being looked at. The fate of highly anticipated racing title Juiced is uncertain at this point, recent rumors about the franchise possibly moving to Take2 have so far been dismissed multiple times by the U.S.-based Take 2 PR people.

People may be unfamiliar with Europlay Capital Advisers, but they have been active behind the scenes in various projects such as such as Shiny Entertainment' s move to Atari and the TDK/Take2 buyout.
