Have You Ever Won Anything In Your Life?
-
Sep 30, 2004 14:47
I have only won two prizes in my whole life...and both were related to videogames. The first was and Atari T-shirt that I won in an Atari 2600 drawing at the local Venture store. The other was an XBOX in the Taco Bell " Get It Before You Can Buy It' contest. I was a little disappointed, because I didn' t get mine until 2-3 months after the XBOX launch. I bought mine on launch day, because I didn' t even know that I won one until later. So, what was the name of that contest again? Anyway, those two prizes comprise the total of all my life' s contest winnings. Have you won any prizes in your life? Tell us about it...

That artwork of yours is awesome!!! ...I like the countdown poem, too! Was this a one-time thing, or have you done anything else?

That was the first time I entered ne contest, as I was pressured by my Graphic Arts teacher to do so. It was the firts time I done that type of art, I mostly stick to photography and pencils. I' ll probably try another contest sooner or later once I gather up the insides to do so. But the thing about me is Im to critical for my own good. Example- In school if my homework wasn' t satisfactory to me by the time it needed to be turned in, I refused to turn it in at all. I was often docked points and got a lower score then it woudlve been but hearing the teacher say, " This couldve been ' A' work had you turned it in ontime." was good enuff for me. O yes BTW BIG THANKS for the comment on the poster.

In my Primary School I won two books of my choice by winning a drawing contest. I picked a book on trains as I was obsessed with them, and a strange Mario comic. Years later I won a Dreamcast! Yey. The Sega Europe website was giving one away every week and I was the 4th person to win. I feel your pain Daroosh65 as my Dreamcast didn' t arrive till the end of October and the began being sold sometime in September. But being the kind souls that they are someone threw in Virtua Fighter 3 and Sega Rally 2 for being so patient. I' d already had Sonic Adventure bought on release day.

You have to be a member of the forum for a month before you are in contention for a prize however. So you' ll be up for winning something in November Reznor, what goodies did you get? £400 is a lot of cash.

Anyone wanting to win a copy of Halo 2 should go to the Mountain Dew website... you could actually get your copy a week before everyone else gets the chance to play it! Good luck!
